Hello, I'm Doria. I'm 39yo and I'm French. I've lived in the UK for 20 years and in Walthamstow for 12. I work in charity and live with my partner and our cat, Garlic. I've grown up and was raised around cats - my first word was "cat" apparently, to my parents' dismay. I have always wanted a dog, which I never got (in my parents defence, I also wanted a pony, a rabbit and a rat) As soon as I was able, I was part of the care system for our cats so I've been trained from a young age. Pets make the difference between a house and a home for me. I find caring for our tiny fur goblin incredibly rewarding, if also infuriating at times (why does he need to eat plastic?). I'm also acutely aware that pets fully dependant on us and I place pets wellbeing and safety above my own. (This does not extend to letting them take up the whole couch if I want to sit down) I've helped many friends with daily walks and dog sitting, cementing that I do love dogs, but like children, I prefer doting on other peoples'. I'm also good at not immediately killing plants, and feeding fish if you need extra bits done. As a pet parent, I know how stressful it can be to leave your baby behind while you travel, and for them to be left behind. So they get more treats than usual (but I still don't let them go on the table/couch if they're not allowed), and I take as many pictures as possible so that you don't miss them too much.

I don't let dogs in the garden unsupervised, and I pay attention to escape artists when I come in and out. I check windows and doors before I go. I also try not to overwhelm your pets by following them room to room, if they're shy, I will tend to their needs (food, litter, water) and then sit for a while in the living room and call them occasionally to entice them out. It's about them being used to my presence and not feeling threatened in their own homes. Also I give them extra treats (with your permission), because they deserve it.

Doria was amazing! She was fantastic when meeting Norman for the first time, and he warmed to her straight away. Her communication was excellent, with lots of little updates that I really appreciated. I felt completely at ease leaving my furball with her, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend!
Doria took wonderful care of our cat Miso while we were away. Miso was clearly comfortable and well looked after the whole time: relaxed, happy, and completely at ease with her. We also received plenty of photos every single day, which gave us real peace of mind. Highly recommended!
Doria was such a kind lovely warm person, she looked after our cats so well. I was so happy with her service would definitely recommend Doria you could really see how much she loved our cats, they normally run from strangers but she got them in a lovely routine.They was so well cared for. Doria looked after my cat Margot for a week at very short notice…I can’t fault her! She took the time to work out Margot’s personality and likes and dislikes, she obviously really loves animals. I was kept updated with photos and little stories about Margot’s antics. It was the first time I’d left her, so Doria really put my mind at ease. I came home to a happy cat and I will definitely rebook Doria again if I go away.
I booked Doria last minute after my holiday plans changed and I had to stay away for longer... she was perfect and I felt very reassured that my cat was happy and well looked after. I cannot recommend Doria enough!
Doria is the perfect catsitter. My cat was super comfortable with her and she made sure to send tons of pictures everyday. She went above and beyond, even staying with him a bit longer than I'd booked her for every day and keeping an eye on my flat as well even if it wasn't at all her responsibility. 100% would recommend!

Schedule
I work full time, with some good flexibility around being in the office so I can work from your house if you have decent internet. I can pop over during lunch, and after work. On Wednesdays I have a regular appointment so I either come before 6 or after 9pm. The rest of the time I'm pretty flexible, but if your house is further than 10mn away from me, before work is a difficult one for me to maintain.
