With more than 35 years as a dog owner, I bring a lifetime of hands-on experience, compassion, and dependable care to every pet I look after. I’ve volunteered at the Huntley Animal Shelter and fostered both puppies and adult dogs, giving me experience caring for dogs of different ages, personalities, energy levels, and needs. As a retired teacher, I’m excited to turn my love of dogs into my dream job by providing safe, personalized care for every client’s pet. I’ll follow your dog’s established routines, instructions, and comfort level, whether they need walks, playtime, companionship, medication reminders, or extra patience and attention. My goal is to help every dog feel secure, comfortable, and cared for while keeping you informed and giving you peace of mind. ❤️ My son, who works for Fed Ex also enjoys helping. Together, we’ll provide reliable, attentive care and treat your furry family members like our own—with patience, love, and a strong commitment to their safety and well being. 🐶🐾

First time having someone look after my dog. Dorene was great kept me updated and showed up everyday when she said she would. Would highly recommend Dorene to look after your dogs.
Can’t thank Dorene enough for taking my last minute request…. On an early Sunday morning! She was great and Rambo came back tired which can be hard sometimes as Rambo is an energetic bulldog! Thank you Dorene !!!
Dorene and Noah were wonderful with our two pups over 13 days. They sent regular updates, took them on plenty of walks, and took extra steps to make them feel at home - even comforted our dog Ollie through a thunderstorm on day one. The dogs came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for — we’d happily trust Dorene and Noah again anytime.
Doreen treated Piper as her own. I was reassured with frequent pictures and updates during her stay. I will, without a doubt have Doreen care for my little one again!
Great Communication
So grateful for the excellent care provided by Dorene and her son. This was our second board and our dog was so excited to see them again when we arrived. Gives us great comfort to know he’s in great hands and that he enjoys them so much. Thank you!!

Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. As a retired teacher, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pets the attention and care they deserve. I enjoy staying active with walks, playtime, and visits, while making sure every pet feels comfortable, happy, and loved. 🐾❤️

I have two dogs of my own, so pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. They enjoy plenty of walks and outdoor time, and I make sure they are supervised and safely secured when they go outside. I understand that every pet has different needs and routines, and I’m happy to follow each owner’s instructions to keep their pets safe, happy, and comfortable. 🐾❤️

A typical day with dogs means lots of tail wags, walks, playtime, and plenty of love! 🐾 I enjoy keeping dogs active and happy while making sure they’re safe and comfortable. I’ll follow their normal routine, give them lots of attention, and make sure they get the exercise and care they need. Every dog is different, and I love getting to know their personality and what makes them happiest! ❤️🐶
