I send photos and fun messages/updates each day (or more if you'd like). I am comfortable caring for cats and dogs. I don't currently have my own pet - my cat Chloe lived to 18! I like to be active, so will take your dog on long walks or tire them out as a running buddy. If they are up for a short car ride, I love taking dogs to the Arboretum. Happy to spoil your kitty with chin scratches and entertain them with their favorite toy. Or just have them tolerate my presence while I feed/clean litter, they call the shots! I run, bike and have a car.

Doreen was great with our dog Ginger! She kept her active and took her to the arboretum. We got daily pics and Ginger always looked happy and comfy. We’d 100% recommend Doreen and will definitely hit her up again if we’re back in DC.
Wilber had a great long walk with Doreen. He can be leash reactive but she was able to manage his big feelings well. Will definitely be rebooking in the future.

Schedule
I work full-time from home so this gives me some flexibility to do check-in visits in the morning, at lunch or after work. Or for boarding/sitting, am flexible with timing for dog walks.

Safety, trust & environment
I host pets in my home in Kingman Park. I'm close to RFK and trails along the Anacostia to take your pup out for a walk or run. For Check-ins and housesitting at client homes, I prefer meet & greets beforehand so that I can meet your pet and get the lay of the land (keys, any security systems, etc).
A typical day
For dogs, walks around the neighborhood, or longer destinations if they are up for it. For dogs and cats, if you have toys, I will play with them to ensure they get enough exercise and stimulation. For shy a dog/kitty, I take my time to let them get used to my presence.
