I'm currently retired and looking for a part time job to satisfy my love for dogs and supplement my income. I've found that the hours of 11a - 3p or 3p - 8p Mon-Fri is a good fit for my schedule although I'm willing to work with the dog owner in a time of need. I do keep busy in retirement and would request a min 24 hr notice.

I grew up with dogs (3 Samoyed dogs). It was my responsibility to feed, walk and brush them. This began my love for animals. When I left for college, I moved to hamsters as this was the only pet my apartment would allow. I eventually settled down with a family and took in cats. One day, a beagle wandered into my backyard and we soon became a dog family again. My children were young, and I taught them how to care for a dog, specifically a curious Beagle! Over the years, I've learned not to fear any kind of pet. I fell my calm, gentle nature helps animals to warm up to me. I've always had cats as they were easier to manage with a busy work schedule. I have many friends with dogs and have learned to embrace all their personalities over the years. I'm now retired with a senior cat and kitten in my home. My bucket list item when I retired was to walk dogs. Looking to get my dog loving time in and meet my daily step goal. Having cats, I would also love to care for them as well. Based on "no fear" over the years and my love for the dedication of a dog, I'm a good fit for any dog personality. I have the patience and calmness that most dogs will respond to.

Thank you, Donna! First gravitated to Donna’s profile because she seem to be a cat lady! ? Lots of dog watchers but we were concerned to find just the right person for our our elderly crabby cat Tobey. Donna quickly fell in love with our old guy, redefining him a polite gentleman ???. She sat on the floor every visit and loved on him and even brought him a jar of catnip! She was trustworthy, dependable, experienced with elder cats, and very graciously followed all of his finicky instructions on fussy eating habits (clean dish, variety fish of the day preferences, and litter box tidy habits). Donna is a wonderful dog watcher too, but for this extended home alone vacation for Mr. crabby cat, she was the ideal choice. Watered summer flowers, was conscientious about packages and mail, communicated with us after a big storm and generally allowed us to enjoy our vacation without any worries about home. She is the best, and we recommend Donna highly!

Donna has a very calming and loving spirit about her! She was able to calm my "children" the first time she met them using a quiet voice, patience and slow movements. She was the first person to be brave enough to enter our house and not show any fear. Despite the loud barking and slight lunging, Donna remained calm and patient. She gently fed them treats as she gradually made her way through our house. Eventually we all made it outside to the backyard where she continued to calm them and reassure them that she was a friend. She even got our German Shepherd to ay frisbee with her, a true bonding moment!! After a while, she even nosed Donna in the back of the leg as it to say, "I accept you" I was so amazed and impressed!! I wouldn't trust just anybody to car for our "children" but I would whole heartedly trust Donna after that day!!
Donna is and will be an excellent pet sitter, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their pets who is kind, responsible, and knowledgeable. Donna is able to communicate and address any concerns you may have. Those concerns will not go unanswered because she will address them with kindness and love to make sure you know the well-being of your family is of the upmost importance. Her thoughts are with the animals and their well-being. She will be the best companion for your animals because I know she will be there to look after them. They will be her primary focus. My crazy dogs loved her and she was so patient with their craziness. Donna has a strong work ethic and determination. I find her extremely dependable, trustworthy and knowledgeable. It is a pleasure to recommend her as a pet sitter.
