I am Dona!- A compassionate & reliable pet care giver who would love to spend time with your dog or cat. I have 7+ years experience working with animals. My animal care journey began working with the Liberty Humane Society in Jersey City. I was responsible for dog walks, feeding, training, enrichment. I gave daily exercise as well as set up Meet & Greets for dogs & cats with potential adoption matches. In addition, I gained my Fear Free Shelter certification which allowed me to assist the Vet Technician with administering medications as well as helping to alleviate fear and stress that comes for the dog and cat with animal intake and check ups. During my time with the animal shelter, I spent time in the Cattery where I cleaned, fed & provided enrichment as well as socialization to the cats. I realized how diverse & complex the nature of cats is and how each one has its own unique personality. Through giving TLC and time, I’ve helped many cats open up and become successful with finding their right Adoption match- even the cats considered “feral”. I have also fostered senior cats in my home with special needs, providing socialization and healing in order to set them up for success in finding their future furever home! I am knowledgeable in pet nutrition work- I work at the Hound About Town Boutique store in Jersey City for 4+ years assisting customers in selecting the right food for their furry friends as well as providing knowledge on different food brands, supplements & enrichment for their fur baby! I am available for dog walks, drop in visits and overnight stays with your pet and have weekends open for pet sitting . Your pet’s safety and well being is my priority. I will ensure to communicate with you on what your fur baby’s needs are and provide you with multiple updates while you’re away.
