There's always a reason to smile and be thankful! 💕 I grew up with furry (as well as some feathered and scaled lol) friends, and now being a mom to my own fur babies has blessed me with a ton of positive energy! I have even had the privilege to help nurture some wildlife in crisis that crossed my path, and it was a blessing to be used to ensure they got all they needed from our encounter. I have a true passion for protecting and caring for animals, and now I have a way to share my love and joy for them while doing what feels quite natural: tending to their well-being! I’m super excited to meet you and your fur baby, because my desire is to see how I can best serve you, the parent, as well as support and bond with my potential new furry pal! I know this requires transparency and trustworthiness, which are important characteristics when it comes to leaving your beloved family pet with a total stranger you’ve met online. I think honesty and openness on both sides is a stellar policy to stand by! Tell me what you really need and what you are searching for, and I will tell you what I am capable of; all of this is crucial in the making of a healthy relationship! My experience consists of caring for many pets over the years, even interning as a high school student at a veterinary hospital where I bathed, fed, medicated, and played with fur babies in need. I've always had a huge soft spot for animals because they are similar to people in a lot of ways, plus they are so darn cute! 😍 In my opinion, they have personalities and feelings just like us, and I think it's truly amazing. So don't be surprised if you see me chatting with your fur baby! LOL I know how important pets are to families because after all, they ARE family and completely irreplaceable. 💙💫 Rest assured, your fur baby will get consistent love and attention from me and receive stupendous care! My wish is for your pet(s) to feel like s/he is on a wonderful "pet-cation" with me while you are away. I love the challenge of working with dogs/cats/pets of all sizes, breeds, and ages (this makes my job exotic!). So, of course, I'm also happy to care for your new puppy/kitten who needs lots of exercise or play time and frequent potty breaks, or even a senior dog/cat who just may want company while they find a quiet, sunny place to snooze the day away with an occasional potty break and some assistance getting around. Now that you know a bit about me and the "why" behind what I do, if you're still here, I'll take that as a good sign! 😂 So let's talk about some tips and standards to help us start our new "pet-ship" off healthy and strong! 💪🏾 A FEW HELPFUL TIPS & STANDARDS: Meet & Greet- This step can be forgone, but I highly recommend not skipping this if you are able! This is a great opportunity for both of us to meet and really get to know each other! You should allow your fur baby to attend the meet and greet as well, so they can get to meet me and vice versa. This initial meeting is usually anywhere from 15-45 minutes, depending on the amount of information that needs to be relayed or questions asked. This is a no-cost meeting that helps set the foundational structure for trust because it allows us to ask questions and do a deeper dive on how your fur baby responds to me. I want to ensure you and your fur baby feel comfortable before agreeing to move forward. I recommend we do this in person at the home where your fur baby will be staying in your absence. If time is a factor, even a virtual meet and greet will suffice. I do, however, understand that due to some conflicts in your schedule, this step may not be possible. That's totally fine too! I just want to give you and me the opportunity, as well as your fur baby, to meet (plus, they may want to sniff me to make sure I'm cool lol). 👌🏾 It's their care, so they most definitely have a say! Please bring any questions or instructions for care that you want to discuss, and I'll be happy to learn all I can about your fur baby's needs! Aggression- For my safety and the safety of other pets/people that we may encounter on walks or at parks, I will not service aggressive pets. Please note: ANY ANIMAL SHOWING SEVERE AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR TOWARDS ME WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO REMAIN UNDER MY CARE. I will contact you immediately to make other arrangements for alternate supervision. Food- Please ensure your fur baby has enough food for the entire "pet-cation". If your pet is running low on food, and you don't have enough time to replenish it, then please let me know and leave enough money for me to go to the store and get more. Or feel free to just order what is needed online to be shipped to your home. I understand that with our busy schedules, we can sometimes forget items we may have intended to get, but please be mindful that it is the responsibility of the pet parent to provide the food. 😊 Drop In Visits/Walks- If you would like me to drop in at your residence and check on your fur baby or walk them, please be advised that if there is anything out of the ordinary, such as a mess or if your fur baby had an accident, I will notify you immediately. If you would like me to clean up any messes made, there will be a small cleaning fee of $15 per incident. Key Drop- I also know that there may be times when you need to leave a key/fob for entry to your home/apartment. I have found the best way to do this is to use a lockbox or a hide-a-key so I can retrieve and leave the key on site when I'm finished. However, if you do not have a lockbox or some way to leave the key for me, I can do a "key drop", where I will come and pick the key up from you and drop it back off to you (round trip) for $15. This covers travel, as I will have to come pick the key up beforehand and then drop it back off after the last visit is over. Bathing- I am totally willing to bathe your fur baby if they get messy! I will contact you and advise you of any circumstance in which I feel they may need a bath, so you can determine if you would like to utilize this option. The fee for this additional service is $25/bath, but if you need me to get supplies to bathe them, this charge is in addition to and separate from the cost of supplies. Vaccinations, Flea/Tick Prevention & Parasite Activity- Please also consider providing a copy of your pet's current vaccination records, as well as any flea/tick medication your pet is currently being administered. If they are in need of any doses while under my care, I will happily administer them. This is also helpful in case there are any incidents at parks or on walks involving other animals. I want to ensure we have all information readily available if there is ever a question regarding licensing or vaccines. Pets can also eat things off the ground or drink from water that is not clean when outside, so this also aids me in case your fur baby comes in contact with another animal that is not vaccinated or eats/drinks something yucky from outside. If there is any observation under my watch of parasitic activity in your fur baby, I will reach out to you immediately to inform you and wait for your instructions on the next steps. Destruction of Property- If your pet destroys any public property, please know you are financially responsible for the damages. Rover does not cover property damage with their insurance, therefore the liability transfers to the pet owner. As with anything else, I will notify you right away if your fur baby causes damage to your belongings or another's property. ***Please pay all monies owed for any additional incurred service fees described above, NO LATER THAN THE TIME YOUR SERVICE ENDS, via Cash (the original greenbacks lol), or through Zelle or Apple Cash. I will provide you with my personal information once the fees are assessed.
