Hi, I’m Dominick! As my headline states, I’m a young professional and lover of all animals. I grew up with two labs and two cats, and currently have two adopted cats of my own! I’ve been on Rover for about 9 months and have cared for various dogs and cats. I know my way around from keeping up with a puppy’s never-ending energy to ensuring our senior animals get their meds on time. Additionally, I have experience caring for pets with medical needs as one of our family labs has a rare form of epilepsy. Due to this, I’ve become well-versed in recognizing the signs of a seizure, responding appropriately, administering necessary medications, and ensuring they get the proper care and comfort afterward. I understand the importance of staying calm in these situations and providing the proper care. Should your pet have medical needs, you can rest assured that I will do everything necessary to ensure that they are well taken care of and comfortable. I was previously a volunteer at the Arizona Humane Society prior to moving back home to Chicago. I have received training for cat and dog care and enrichment. As I was somewhat new to the area, I was interested in getting involved in the community, and I found this way I can do something I love and learn how to be the best caretaker for all animals :) If you have any questions about me or my capabilities, please do not hesitate to reach out! I currently live in an apartment, that does allow pets. However, I do have two cats, who may not be too keen to other animals. Regardless, I am completely comfortable with entering and staying at your home if that is what you prefer! After caring for many pets over the years, I’ve recognized the importance of maintaining a routine while their humans are away. For every job, I commit to following all instructions to the best of my ability for the sake of your animals mental and physical wellbeing thereby gaining their and your trust. I also believe in providing detailed updates and multiple photos from each visit. Being a pet owner myself, I know the peace of mind that a good Rover Card brings :)

Schedule
I currently work full-time EST hours (8am-4pm), however I’m remote and can work from anywhere! Depending on my workday, I may able to get away for about 1 visit per day and can definitely fit in more before and after work. On the weekends, I am completely available.
