I work from home as a software engineer, so I have a fairly flexible schedule and can usually fit drop-in visits and dog walks around my day during the week and at weekends. It also gives me a great excuse to get out of the house and spend time with some furry company. I’m reliable, easy to reach, and always happy to keep owners updated after visits so you know your pet is safe, happy and well looked after.

I only offer drop-in visits and dog walking, so your pet can stay in the place where they feel most comfortable and settled. I know how important routine, familiarity and trust can be, especially for cats and for dogs who like their usual surroundings. I’ll always follow your instructions carefully, whether that’s feeding, refreshing water, cleaning up, playtime, toilet breaks, walks or simply giving your pet company and reassurance. My aim is always to help them feel relaxed, safe and well cared for while you’re away.

It’s always helpful to know your pet’s usual routine, temperament, and anything they particularly like or dislike before I visit. Let me know if your dog pulls on the lead, is nervous around other dogs, or has any habits I should be aware of on walks. For cats and dogs alike, it’s useful to know about feeding routines, favourite toys, any anxieties, and how they normally respond to new people. The more I know in advance, the better I can make sure they feel comfortable and cared for.

A typical visit really depends on the pet, as some want lots of fuss and play while others prefer a calmer approach. For cats, I’m happy to spend time playing, giving attention, or just keeping them company if that’s what they prefer. For dogs, I’ll make sure they get a good walk, some fresh air, exercise and plenty of interaction. I always try to match each pet’s energy and personality, whether that means games and excitement or a slower, more relaxed pace.

I’ve been around cats and dogs my whole life, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. From my childhood dog Mac and cat Oscar, to my teenage dog Joe and cat Bailey, to my own cat Theodore now, I’ve grown up with pets and understand how different their personalities, routines and needs can be. I’ve also looked after pets for friends and family over the years, and I’m someone people trust to be calm, reliable and attentive. I’m comfortable with everything from feeding and playtime to giving animals space when they need it, and I always try to make them feel safe, settled and well cared for while their owner is away. Because I work from home as a software engineer, I have a flexible schedule and can fit pet care around my day. It’s also a lovely excuse to get out of the house and spend time with some furry company.
