This last summer, pet care is my full-time focus! With a break from my studies at the University of Iowa, I’m dedicating my time to caring for the dogs of Dallas while I stay with my cousin, Anj. My own dogs receive my full attention, and I structure my schedule around their needs—your dog will be no different. They will be included and given the same level of care, love, and attention as if they were my own. We walk every day, make sure to run in the yard, get lots of sun (if the Texas heat isn't too bad), and also love to hit the dog park and watch the sunset.

Doggy Day Care @ My Home : I’m located in Dallas near White Rock, with an 8-foot fenced-in backyard where dogs love to run and play. For the safety and comfort of all pets, your dog MUST be pet-friendly. My dog, Bo, does best with non-dominant dogs and isn’t a fan of large alpha-male types, but I do have extra space available if needed to accommodate. Seven, loves to run and play and craves the attention from another dog. She would love it if she could have allll the playdates in her backyard. If your dog stays with me, they’ll have the option to go to the dog park daily, just like we do! Our routine includes a morning walk, playtime in the yard throughout the day, and a trip to the dog park in the evening. I love spending time outdoors in the Texas sun—if your pup does too, we’ll be a great match! That said, I also enjoy cozy weekends indoors watching movies, so if your dog prefers lounging, we’ll get along just as well. IN YOUR HOME: While not listed on my profile, I do offer both overnight stays and regular check-ins. If you’re located more than 15 miles from me, I prefer check-ins every four hours and will follow your pet’s feeding schedule and potty routine to keep them comfortable and happy. If interested in me staying overnight, please inquire.

Information Dominic E. would like to know about your pet

I ask for honest and open communication about your pet’s needs so I can provide the best care possible. If your dog has any quirks, anxieties, or behavioral issues, I’d much rather know upfront—no surprises, no judgment. Whether it’s leash reactivity, separation anxiety, whatever it may be, just give me the heads-up so I can accommodate and make sure they’re comfortable and safe. The more I know, the better I can make their time with me stress-free and fun!

A typical day

A typical day in the summer for me is honestly all about the dogs—my schedule revolves around their happiness. I’m usually up early, leashes in hand, making sure we get our first walk in before the pavement heats up under the Texas sun. I love a good quiet morning stroll! Once we’re back home, I enjoy my coffee in the yard while they lounge, sniff around, and soak up the fresh air. It’s a great way to ease into the day. While the dogs nap, I usually get some work done, but as soon as their second wind hits, we’re back. On warm days, we lay out tanning in the sun, cooling off with our feet in the kiddie pool. If it’s an indoor day, I make sure everyone is comfy, and we settle in for movies and TV. In the afternoon/evening, it’s back outside for playtime. Near sunset, we like to hit the dog park, especially White Rock, because there’s nothing better than watching the sky change over the lake. Late evenings are usually spent winding down in the yard again, enjoying the cool air and relaxing from a full day.

Pet care experience

I've grown up with dogs my whole life and have always played an active role in training them, helping shape them into well-behaved companions. Last summer, I expanded my experience by fostering puppies through Operation Kindness. I was dedicated to preparing them for adoption, teaching them basic commands and house training. They arrived knowing nothing, but by the time they were ready for their forever homes, they had a strong foundation in obedience and good manners.

Dominic has been helping watch my dogs since 2020 and he is amazing! Whether it is sitting outside and playing fetch, staying at my home to ensure my dogs feel at home, or taking them for daily walks... he does it all! He is great at communication, easy to accomodate with, and I whole-heartlely trust him with my babies when I am away! Couldn't have asked for a better person to leave my dogs with!
