My services are centered around the concept of delivering personalized, effective pet care-taking services, which are uniquely crafted to fit the needs of your furry companion(s), and leave them happy, enriched, and well-cared for! With over 20 years of experience in both the animal sheltering and private pet care-taking fields, I utilize a confident background in working with animals of all ranges of medical and behavioral issues, with a deeply-rooted history of positive results. So, before services begin, what is the first step?... We start by creating a custom-tailored plan for your furry family member's care! This plan will be centered around their needs, behaviorally, medically, and emotionally! Behaviorally, I am ready to work with any and all issues. I strongly support the use of the following, and have most sizes and variations of equipment available: + Non-slip collars (e.g. Martingales) + Sensation Harnesses (front-clipping) + Gentle Leaders These are all excellent tools for managing and/or rehabilitating some of the more common, undesirable walking-behaviors, such as dog reactivity (barrier/leash/generalized), prey-drive, arousal control/impulsivity, pulling, etc. My canine training history is rooted in positive reinforcement-based training procedures. I am open to enforcing as little or as many training boundaries as you prefer; it is up to you! Medically, I am experienced in delivering SQ & IM injections, with partial experience in IV. Additional capabilities: Topical, ocular, aural, and oral medication administration. I haven't forgotten the felines! I'm known for quickly becoming a cat's best friend, and I have an extremely strong background in feline care-taking; I very openly welcome the opportunity to care-take for and/or behaviorally work with your beloved kitty! Having been the primary facilitator of 1000+ adoptions as an adoption counselor, as well as an educator on a multitude of pet-care topics, I have grown a passion for communicating with people about their pets, and helping to further cultivate the human-animal bond. For stays and visits, the agenda and parameters are always custom-tailored to best fit what you and your critters are looking for out of the experience. I work to make each stay/visit as comfortable, positive, and enriching as possible! I encourage my clients to set up a camera if they feel it will help with building trust!

Domenic is an absolute professional and truly cares for animals. We wholeheartedly trust him with our pup, Theo. Theo doesn’t get along with other dogs and can be pretty reactive on walks, but Domenic always knows how to keep him on track and calm. It’s like magic. Our neighbors have even commented saying they’ve never seen Theo behave so well! Knowing that our dog is with Domenic when we’re away always puts our mind at ease and that sense of security is worth every penny!
Thanks to Domenic I have finally found a loving, responsible, reliable pet caregiver, who takes pride in his ability to provide five star service! His extensive skills allow him to build trust so he can easily administer insulin, pills and supplements for my senior kitties.
Domenic is THE BEST. I am so lucky to have found him. I have a "difficult" chihuahua and an older cat with health issues, and I tried a lot of other individual pet sitters and services before finding Domenic. For the past few years now he has provided first-rate overnight care whenever I go out of town, as well as periodic daily check-ins and dog walks, when needed. My furry kids adore him, and he feels like one of the family! Domenic is that rare find... an excellent trained dependable pet care professional who also really connects with and cares for the animals he looks after.
Domenic was great to work with. Our dogs are not the easiest. They can be pretty protective of our space and new people. But Domenic took the time to build trust with them. We needed someone to take care of our dogs for our wedding day. And we are so glad we went with him. He allowed us to have one less thing to worry about on our big day! Thanks Domenic!!
Domenic has been walking with my two pups for years now. The girls are always so excited every time he comes to the door! They absolutely love him! I always feel confident when they go on their walks as he is exceptionally knowledgeable about the pups and has great instincts when one is reactive.
Domenic is the best! He’s been taking care of my dogs for almost 7 years now. Reliable, Caring and competent! I know my fur babies are in the best care when he walks them. I can’t say enough!! 5 stars!!
