Pet care experience
Love is more valuable than treats.
I’m DJ, and I appreciate you checking out my profile. I love dogs of all breeds and sizes and specialize in reward-based training and trust building during your pet’s stay. Here are some answers to some of my most frequently asked questions: 1. I keep up to 4 dogs at a time, unless they’re from the same household, in which case I can do more. If your dog is not dog-friendly, just let me know in advance so I can make sure my schedule is clear for them. 2. I don’t have children or roommates, so it will just be me, your dog and 2400sqft of freedom. 3. I do not allow dogs from separate households to interact if I am not physically present to observe them. 4. I have a fantastic relationship with a local 24 hour veterinary clinic and supplemental insurance in the unlikely case that an issue arises. 5. I’m home most of the day and love to give your pup free rein of the house so that they are as comfortable and safe as possible. I am very active and can keep up with the most hyper of pups and can relax with the most calm of seniors. I’m a 12 year active Marine Corps EOD Tech that now serves as a reservist and have experience as a dog handler and have been trained in and performed K9 Traumatic Injury Care and First Aid. I look forward to being your pets’ home away from home and I can’t wait to meet you!

DJ was great and even helped Duke learn a little bit about being around other dogs!

DJ- it’s amazing with my little gir Roxy 🐶. I highly recommend him.

Dj took great care of Mabel, she seemed to have a blast during her week a way!

DJ is fantabulous! Our pups love him! We can safely plan trips away now that we have found a reliable (and much loved) sitter!

As far as I know everything went well. Very flexible and our boys seemed happy to see us.

Schedule
I am a Student. Puppy sitting helps make that possible, and also allows me plenty of time at home to take care of your pups while you’re away. I’m up by 5am and winding down by 8pm and have plenty of time to ensure your hound is engaged if they want to be, and no worries, I’ll stay up for late pick ups. 🙂

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced back yard and don’t necessarily believe in crates when I’m home. My home is puppy proof and I no longer have pets of my own that may cause conflict. Consider my place Puppy Summer Camp!
A typical day
I really appreciate a good schedule when it comes to pet care. My general schedule is as follows: 0600 - Wake Up then Run/Walk 0700 - Breakfast 0800 - 30 min of uninterrupted attention 1000-1100 - Solo Outside Time (weather permitting) 1700 - Dinner 2000 - Evening Walk/Run
