Hi, I’m Maya. I’m originally from Singapore and have cared for pets my whole life and truly love being around animals. I currently have a sweet-natured Goldador, Momo, a calm outdoor cat, Ahsoka, and a senior bunny, Bumi, and have looked after my in-laws Cockapoo for years. Pets tend to take to me quickly and I find them therapeutic to be around, for my well-being. If you’ve picked “Doggy Daycare”, I live nearby to some lovely green spaces like Ashton Court and Greville Smyth Park and walk Momo there regularly, so would be happy to include your dog on our walks. I drive and am happy to do drop-ins or house sit for your dog, cat or smaller animal for a longer period too. I’ll always endeavour to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m also happy to support with basic training and routines if needed. If you’re interested in hiring me, I’m happy to set up a video call to chat things through, or meet in person, before you commit to a booking. Whether you’re looking for walks, drop-in visits, or house sitting, your pet will be treated as one of the pack!

Diya is such a lovely person/ dog walker! She made us feel super at ease with taking Rocko on walks while we were away, lots of pics and feedback 💚 she also took the time to meet us beforehand to get to know Rocko first which we appreciated as Rocko can be a bit shy! From the get-go (as soon as we started messaging) I just knew our dog was going to be in the best hands! We briefly met Maya, her partner Simon and their dog Momo when we dropped Ziggie off and it honestly felt like meeting old friends! Maya is so easy to talk to, super chatty, kind, thoughtful and kept us updated with messages and plenty of photos/videos throughout the stay! We just know that Ziggie was treated like part of the family! 🥹🥰 Love that they blended Ziggie seamlessly into their weekend plans, went on lots of walks, and Maya & Simon even kindly washed and brushed her for us after she got mucky! It was also so sweet to see that Ziggie created such a great bond with their dog Momo and they were cuddling up together after just a few days! 🐾 Can’t thank them enough, truly! ❤️ If we’re ever back in the area we would 100% use Maya again and we hope to keep in touch!!!

Diya was excellent with our dog, amazing communication and lovely photos. They really cared for our girl, made us very reassured while we were away. They really helped out at the last minute and really cared for the dogs in the heat. Would love our dog to stay with them again
Couldnt recommend Maya (Diya) more, she was great with our border collie, friendly, respectful of our home and really attentive. She gave lots of updates and put dogs got on really well. Thanks again

Schedule
I am pursuing an MA in Social Work and work freelance, so my schedule does vary - please see my availability on my Rover calendar. I update this regularly and it should be up to date.

Safety, trust & environment
Whenever possible, I do my utmost to stick to the routine of each pet I look after. As I become familiar with a pet, I will never force interaction, but gradually build up the trust. I will always make sure the pet is comfortable and happy.
Pets
A typical day
I have a variety of brain-engaging activities for dogs, cats and rabbits at home and engage my own pets in these daily (snuffle mats, little training sessions with high value treats, toys that require problem solving skills). I have many dog and cat toys available and am well-versed in successfully training puppies and younger dogs. I always use positive reinforcement and have a variety of healthy treats available to encourage learning new tricks! I love taking dogs to the nearby green spaces and have an SUV to accommodate driving the dogs to bigger green spaces like Ashton Court or places in the nearby countryside.

- Please let me know if your pet has any specific needs, and details about their daily routine (sleep, walk, toileting, medication etc). Any behavioural traits to be aware of will be important, particularly as I have a dog, bunny and outdoor cat at home. *Please note that I cannot board unneutered male dogs as I have an unspayed female dog at home. **Please also note that while I’m happy to support with basic training routines, I am not a professional trainer and cannot look after dogs or puppies who have not been toilet trained, particularly boarding them at my house.
