I LOVE dogs. Pick me!!!
I got my first dog when I was 17. Have had 2 more since then. Collie, Pomeranian, Dalmatian. Only the Pom was purebred. 8 years old when I got her. Since they passed, I have babysat 11 other dogs. All large, except the 2 puppies and 1 small. That was before I started working for Rover. I have now watched an additional 38 pups! I have a huge back yard but unless the dog is familiar with boundaries and listens well, will only take them out on leash. My profile says I take one family at a time. However, if a second family needs me, and there is an overlap of time, I will ask the first family for permission to book the second pup. I try my best to keep pups out of kennels!

This is the first time using Rover and using a sitter. What a great experience! Dixie is the BEST!!! Her property is back from the main road and lots of yard to have a sniffari and playtime! She has all kinds of dog toys , leashes, bowls, kinda like a day care. I really didn’t need to bring all the stuff I brought for my two dogs. Everyday she sent a text update with pictures or a video. That made me feel secure and happy that they were having a good time. By the end of the week my one dog didn’t want to leave he felt so comfortable. I would definitely re-book with Dixie. She makes sure your babies get everything they need from food , walks , play time , and snuggles. Thank you Dixie for taking care of my fur babies ,so happy we met! ❤️
Dixie was Fantastic! Roscoe loved her and can’t wait to see her again. He had a dream the next day. His feet were just moving in his sleep. I believe he was dreaming of all the fun he had at Dixie’s house. ❤️

Dixie spoiled Baxter. He got so much attention from her. She walked him and brushed him. He was very happy at her house. She sent me pictures of him too. He played so much that he fell asleep on the way home every day.
Dixie did an amazing job with my extra large pup! She was attentive, caring, and stuck with him for the whole day despite his nagging need to play! Loved her communication, lots of sweet pics ❤️ Would 100% book again!
Wonderful human. Dixie was very warm and welcoming to me and my pup and provided regular updates and pictures. Highly recommend.

Schedule
I am retired and love being home. I do go to Florida for several months a year but at this point it is not a regularly scheduled trip.

Safety, trust & environment
As I said, I haven't any dogs so your pup would have my full attention. If I'm outside, they would be out with me. I prefer not to crate dogs unless absolutely necessary. I do enjoy giving treats but respect dietary restrictions.
A typical day
I love to go for walks. Would love to have a dog for company. Also, love to sit and cuddle with them and play fetch with them.
