My name is Dixan, animals have always been important to me. I believe that they should be cared for and treated as well as we treat ourselves. I've been around dogs and cats since I can remember; I have a three year old dog of my own, and I share responsibility in caring for two other dogs. I lived on a property that provided Corgi and mutt rescues and rehabilitation in Oklahoma City. Id help foster dogs, train basic behaviors and commands, and help find them a new home. I learned a lot about how to deal with animals there, it was a great experience. I've dogsat dogs with breathing trouble, diabetes, incontinence, physical disability, and blindness. I've sat very old dogs, and very young puppies and kittens. As far as walking, I have helped trained dogs to restrain from pulling while on leash. All training methods I have learned are positive reinforcement based methods. I'm not a fan of some of the other methods.
