Highlights
Pet care experience
Pets are my favorite people
Past work experience at a small-but-mighty no-kill shelter (Animal Resource Center in Bloomsburg, PA). Over the years, I've lost count of how many times I've played Fairy Dogmother, but I truly never get tired of it. Pets are family, and when folks entrust me with caring for their babies while they're away, I take that seriously! In addition to work experience, I'm a past volunteer for Charleston Animal Society, and my own dog, Zelda, and I are a certified therapy dog team with Alliance of Therapy Dogs (ATD).

Safety, trust & environment
All Charleston Animal Society volunteers who wish to work directly with adoptable dogs must take a short safety course, and I've successfully passed this with flying colors. I'm experienced with administering oral medications. At the moment, I'm training for an ultramarathon, so if your pup is high-energy, you've come to the right place.
Ratings and reviews
Disa is always wonderful with our dog and rabbits! We highly recommend.

Disa was very reliable and flexible. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with her. She was easy to communicate with and sent daily updates. Everything was clean and organized when I returned home and more importantly, my dog was a happy camper.

Disa was great! She did a great job keeping us updated and our dog Murphy loved her! We would recommend Disa to anyone.

Disa took great care of our boys and house while we were away for the weekend. She was very easy to work with and provided regular updates as well as photos. Highly recommend working with Disa!

Disa was wonderful! Very communicative and patient with my two little weirdos. Highly recommend!

Disa did a terrific job caring for my dog Roxy. Roxy is a rescue and came from a terrible puppy mill. She is a delightful dog, funny, silly, but,... in the 14 years that I have had her she has warmed up to exactly one person, me. She does tolerate blood relatives but not the in-laws, not sure why. Roxy can be difficult, while she is only 11 pounds, she is a finicky eater, distrustful, and her back legs are full of arthritis with knees in and out of socket. It takes patience and diligence, without the reward of affection or playfulness, to care for Roxy. Disa took all of this in stride and Roxy got used to having her around, which is a big accomplishment. I highly recommend Disa, I knew Roxy would be safe in her care and upon my return Roxy was completely content. I will hire her again in the future.

Schedule
My work is fully remote and I'm fortunate to have some autonomy in how I structure my day, so I can generally be fully present and swiftly responsive to your pet's needs. (My partner works in-office, so I may occasionally need to pop home to attend to my own pup's meals or potty breaks.)
