Trusted, Loving Care for Your Dog
We’re proud, happy owners of our mini dachshund, Daisy, who is 7 years old and truly part of our family. Before Daisy, we shared many wonderful years with our standard dachshund, Bella. When Bella sadly passed away, we felt a huge hole in our hearts and in our home—bringing Daisy into our lives helped heal that space and reminded us just how special the bond with a dog can be. Because dogs are family to us, not just pets, we treat every dog in our care with the same love, respect, and attention we give our own. Daisy goes everywhere with us, and our lifestyle naturally revolves around being dog-friendly—walks, outings, routines, and home life are all designed with dogs in mind. Our experience includes: Caring for dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to senior dogs Understanding breed-specific needs, especially dachshunds Providing calm support for anxious or sensitive dogs Creating a true “home away from home” environment We don’t just watch dogs—we welcome them into our family while you’re away.

I could not recommend Dina and her little dog Daisy enough ☺️ We did a meet and greet prior to my holiday just to make sure the dogs would get on ok. I knew there would be no issues and was more than happy for my dog to be looked after by Dina. Dina kept me updated with photos throughout the week and I could tell my dog was having a lovely time and was very happy with her surroundings. My dog is 15 so can have days where she’s a little more tired than others but everything was accommodated. A perfect little holiday for my pooch ☺️ 🐾

Dina was a fantastic host for Betty our Border Terrier. She and Dina’s dog Daisy got on so well. Betty was obviously very happy in their home. Drop off and pick up were convenient and easy. We would definitely use Dina again

Schedule
Pet care is a natural part of our everyday life—it’s built into our routine, not something we squeeze in around other priorities. We’re a family of three dog lovers—two adults and our 17-year-old son—and our days already revolve around our own dog, Daisy. I’ve just completed my bachelor’s degree and am now pursuing my master’s online, which means I’m home most of the time and able to give dogs constant attention, supervision, and care. Because someone is always home: Dogs are never left alone Walks, playtime, feeding, and cuddles happen on a steady, relaxed schedule Anxious dogs get calm companionship and reassurance Our home is quiet, stable, and dog-focused. Pet care isn’t a side task for us—it’s part of how we live every day.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
When pets stay in our home, they become part of our family routine. We focus on keeping their days calm, happy, and as close as possible to what they’re used to at home. Our house has a large, secure garden that dogs can access throughout the day for fresh air, play, and toilet breaks. Whether they love running around, sunbathing, or just sniffing everything in sight, they have plenty of space to enjoy safely. We also live just a few minutes’ walk from the Burton riverside, which is perfect for relaxed walks, longer adventures, and letting dogs explore new sights and smells in a safe, natural setting. Daily care includes: Regular feeding based on your dog’s normal schedule Plenty of outdoor time in our garden Walks suited to your dog’s age, energy, and health Playtime Quiet rest time and lots of affection If caring for a dog in their own home, we follow their usual routine as closely as possible—same feeding times, walk routes, rules, and habits—so they feel secure and comfortable while you’re away.

A typical day
A typical day is relaxed, active, and full of care. Dogs start with breakfast and garden time, followed by a walk—often to the Burton riverside. The day includes playtime in our big garden, cuddles, rest, and gentle training or games. Evenings are calm with dinner, a final walk or garden break, and settling in with the family. Every day is shaped around each dog’s energy, age, and personality.
