I'm your pup's favorite (sitter)!!
I'm definitely the person hanging out with the dog at the event and then I'm always happy to go home to my perfect pup, Benny. My family and I are great at providing a chill space and a routine, with regular walks, bits of play throughout the day (especially with my son) and maybe an errands walk, but can also hang out while you're busy. After we love to treat them by doing a little outing, like maybe a dog park or a good play sesh or cuddle. I've always had animals around in my life, whether it's a hamster or my grandmother's chickens or one of the family dogs. I hold a lot of importance in how a person treats animals and what that says about them! When I rescued my then 5 month pup, Benny, I really spent time researching and training him myself - potty, crate, commands, etc. It's wild that it's been 6 years already, but he's a big part of our family. We've traveled, moved, and he's my "first born" :) He has since been joined by his human brother, who's also well aware about animal behavior. My husband is part of my team too as he works mainly from home and helps me with our furry visitors (and everyone can get their daily steps in!), so you're getting 2 sets eyes for the price of 1. My philosophy is that all the creatures need freedom and love, but with firm boundaries. We go outside to play and sniff as much as possible or appropriate. There is also down time when needed. If I need to gently but firmly discipline them to discourage bad behavior, I know how to do that. There's a lot of love and attention that your babies will get in my home and I can't wait to meet them!

Schedule
Both my husband and I are usually home - he works from home and I'm with my young child. We have often have a routine and, as dog parents ourselves, all the habits for pet care are already there (daily walks, feedings, play, even some training). All of our furry clients fit right in, and we're happy to accomodate.

I cater to each dog. I have the friendliest dog of my own to hang with yours so I'm well versed in dog care. We love walks and hikes when possible or the beach! If a crate is required that's not a problem. I like to casually supervise them while letting them play and run around if close supervision isn't necessary.
Pets
A typical day
We’ve traveled a bunch, but I we usually follow a routine - morning walk & breakfast. An afternoon nap for the dogs while we do our own thing. Lots of pets inbetween. Afternoon walk and maybe some training. Hangout or play, with toys and treats available. Dinner and a walk. Last potty break before bed. Sometimes there are dog parks or the beach or a car ride. But Benny and all our guests always have a good time!

- Please, the more honest details and communicated expectations the better. I've found that it's best for the owners to prep me with extra info rather than less so the care goes smooth for everyone, especially the pets. For dogs especially: What's their temperament? What do they like and, more importantly, dislike? Do they pull on walks or are big sniffers? Do they react to other dogs? What sort of training do they have - leash, crate, commands, food routine, etc? Do they get nervous and bark when you leave or are they okay to chill? How much exercise do they need? Do they like to chew? Anything other than their toys? Do they go to the park and how often? How are they with children and other humans? What's their regular routine? How do they do on car rides?
