Your Pup’s New Best Friend
Dogs have been a constant in my life since childhood, from my Scottish Terrier, Junior, who I grew up with from ages 8 to 24, to my current rescue pups, Pretzel and Poppy. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, including those with separation anxiety, resource guarding, and a history of trauma. My own dogs both came from challenging pasts in Dallas, Texas, and with patience, consistent training, and lots of love, they’ve blossomed into happy, confident companions. I currently share my home with Pretzel and Poppy (both Chihuahua–Rat Terrier mixes) and help care for my roommate’s 9-year-old Pitbull–Bulldog mix, Oppie. I believe in individualized care—learning each dog’s quirks, routines, and needs to make them feel safe and loved. I even handmake my dogs’ food each week, because I know how important diet is to their health and happiness.

For drop-in visits, I make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for—just like they would with you. I follow your instructions exactly, double-check doors and gates, and keep their routine on track. You’ll always get photo updates so you know they’re happy while you’re away.

I’ve known Diego for years as both a dog walker and sitter, and he’s fantastic. He has two small rescue dogs of his own, one with separation anxiety and another with people-reactivity, and he also regularly helps care for a large bulldog mix who is reactive with other dogs. Because of that, Diego really understands how to handle a wide range of temperaments. He’s patient, consistent, and has taught all of these dogs good manners for thresholds, walks, and around strangers. He’s also dependable and caring, the kind of person you can trust to keep your dog safe and happy.
Jasmin absolutely loves Diego! He is extremely attentive and tends to her every need! I know Jasmin is in great hands when he watches Jasmin for me!

Schedule
As a professional musician with a flexible schedule, I’m free most late mornings and early afternoons. I teach in-home guitar lessons in the afternoons, so I have time between students for walks, check-ins, or playtime. Caring for my own three dogs is part of my everyday life, so fitting in visits with your pets is second nature!
