*Soul dog passed away recently - can I come play with your pets while you're on vacation?* :) 2/18/26 Update: I started my Rover career doing drop-in visits in Maryland/DC and have recently moved back to Michigan to be closer to family. I love being a Rover sitter and I miss my Maryland clients dearly (if you see this ❤️). But now I am living in a home with a fenced in yard, working remotely, and my soul dog passed away recently. I am missing the love of a fur baby, so I wanted to open up my time for other fearful and anxious rescue/shelter dogs to offer them a quality place to stay while you're on vacation or a quality sitter to take care of your pet(s) in your home. My Ella was very fearful and anxious and I made a lot of accommodations in my own life for her, so I know how to make yours feel safe, loved, and cared for - while having fun! Your fur babies will get my full attention - all day and night. And I am selective on the clients I choose. You must book at least two weeks in advance and communicate well between the booking request and meet & greet - I just want both parties to have an easy time communicating about needs with enough time before you leave. I will make this process so easy and seamless for you! I share daily pictures and updates, and happily help with any home needs that may come up while you're gone. I communicate quickly and directly. I am very willing to take care of any kind of animal you may have at home. Or if you want to board your bird, reptile, or small mammal, I'm happy to discuss what the care needs look like. Diane was a fantastic sitter! She was amazing and easy to work with throughout the process. She stayed in my home while I traveled and my deeply anxious rescue dog and my cats never missed me. Diane was timely, patient, and very friendly with my cats. I was a bit hesitant to use Rover based on a previous experience but Diane really changed my mind. She followed the instructions I left perfectly and my cats took to her very well. I will definitely work with her again.

Diane is terrific. She doesn’t merely take care of your pets, she actually cares about them. Our cats are notoriously skittish but they run to her now when she arrives. Reliable, good communicator, you can’t get better than this!
This is the second time we've utilized Diane's services. This time for a period of two weeks during a trip abroad. Diane is just fantastic and gave us piece of mind again while we were away. Diane is conscientious, respectful of the property, followed (our extremely detailed) instructions to the letter and even beyond, doing little extra things that we so very much appreciated! Sending pictures of our cats for every visit, you'll know your critters are in great hands with Diane. Highly recommended!

Schedule
I work remotely part-time and my schedule is very flexible. I am free most holidays and weekends. I will have times where I need to leave the home, but I stay home 90% of my week :).

Safety, trust & environment
I will treat your fur baby like they are my own. Whether I am housesitting for you or I'm boarding your baby, they will be my main priority. I follow instructions to the letter and I will follow-up with questions if I have any. My family uses pet-sitters who drop-in to their homes but always struggle to find good options. I want to make sure I'm an excellent option for others!
A typical day
I will feed, play, hang out with, pet, love-on your fur baby. They can sleep in my bed or anywhere in the home they feel most comfortable. I have a soft pop-up crate to use for sleeping, if needed. I prefer most play takes place inside during a booking to eliminate any risks but if the weather is nice, we can absolutely hang out outside in a fenced in backyard at least once a day. I have toys for both inside and outside use at my home and I can use any toys your fur babies prefer. I will not do walks during a booking (again to eliminate any risks) but they have free roam of my backyard while supervised.
