I grew up always having a dog as the family pet. I've been a volunteer at the Humane Society, helping to socialize, reinforce positive behaviors, and walk / exercise dogs. At HSSV, they train volunteers to read dog body language and to recognize stress to keep the dogs feeling safe and comfortable. I love to walk almost as much as young dogs do and want to help them get the exercise they need. I also enjoy petting dogs while reading and will give them a lot of affection when they sit next to me. I'll be enrolled in classes and unable to get to my phone during certain hours and I don't answer texts in the late evening or early morning.
