I'm self employed and work from home, so I'm very flexible as I set my own schedule. I usually walk my own dog around 10am and 5pm with a play break in between and a night walk if he seems to want it.

- For Drop-Ins: I ensure your pet's feeding area is clean and their water bowl is fresh daily. I take my time to check around the house for any signs of accidents or mischief. Most importantly, I enjoy spending quality time with your furry friend, giving loving words and engaging playtime to keep their mind sharp and spirits high. - For Boarding: My three-story townhome offers multiple cozy spaces for your furry friend to relax. Our cats have plenty of vertical territory to observe from, and they're always welcome to retreat to the top floor for some peace and quiet. Our smoke-free, kid-free home has hardwood floors, comfortable furniture, and a variety of toys for their choosing. We have a fenced in courtyard and there's a convenient dog park right across the street. I can tailor a walk to your pet's preferences, whether it's a social playdate, a solo fetch session, or a leisurely neighborhood stroll.

Information Diane S. would like to know about your pet
Definitely let me know if they have any special needs, medications, quirks, and how they act around cats. I also like to know your fur babies known words (stay, wait, hold, etc.) & what their typical day is like. This helps me maintain a consistent routine and lets them feel more comfortable in their new surroundings.
A typical day
I like to start their day with fresh air & exercise so we go to the park and play fetch or chase squirrels. Then I do some light training/refresh of tricks before breakfast since dogs are most receptive at that time. Then they typically take their post-morning nap next to me while I work on my digital illustrations. Once they start to get a bit antsy/bored I do a play break with them which could be: play tag around our maze of a house, playing hide & go seek with treats, "running away" from them so they chase me, using the cat toy wands to get them moving, or going outside if they seem to have alot of energy to get out. Then we giggle, cuddle, and they snuggle in for a midday nap. Its pretty much that on repeat till dinner time. I take them out to the park again for more exercise, then feed them. Later on I generally give them a hard chew or bone while we eat dinner so they don't get jealous of our food. I take them our again a few hrs after dinner for last potty breaks, then we all pass out in a big cuddle puddle.

Playful Heart & Calming Presence
Pet care experience
🏡- Both my partner and I work from home 🛃- VERY flexible schedule 🥎- Dog park right across the street. 🍼- Experience with puppies, kittens, seniors & giving meds 💓- comfortable with all breeds, sizes, & temperaments 💸- TEMP DISCOUNT on In-House Sittings because this girl needs a staycation. - Dog Experience - Growing up on a farm, I've always had a pack of furry companions by my side. My own sweet-yet-lil-slow couch potato boxer, Ronan, has taught me the importance of positive reinforcement, patient training, and understanding canine body language. I am proud that he can be walked without a leash, waits for my command before stepping into the road, plays very well with other dogs and cats, and is incredibly polite. Whether im caring for a playful pup or a gentle senior, I'm passionate about giving them the care and attention those furry angels deserve. - Cat Expertise - Cats have captured my heart with their curiosity, unique personalities, and charming greetings. My own fluff balls, Leo and Luna, have taught me the importance of patience, respect, and their need to chase a toy to turn boredom into empowerment. I'm adept at deciphering their subtle cues to create a harmonious home. - Tailored Care for Your Pet - To ensure a smooth transition, I'll take detailed notes on your pet's routine, preferences, known words and any special needs. A pre-trip meet-and-greet allows me to observe your pet's behavior and establish a rapport, making them feel comfortable and secure in my care. - A Warm Welcome for Furry Guests - Our home is a haven for pets, with plenty of space to roam and play. Our socialized dog and cats are accustomed to sharing their nap zones and toys with new friends. We're flexible and can accommodate different energy levels and personalities, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. If I find your pet or our cats prefer some solitude I can provide a cozy space separate from the others where we can have calm & peaceful cuddles. - Your Peace of Mind - I'm committed to providing reliable, trustworthy care. I'll keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and safe.

Reviews

This was our first time having anyone watch our dog and cat and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Diane was very communicative with updates and pictures and took great care of our pets and house. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.

My dogs really love Diane. They are both a bit fearful when meeting new people but they warmed up to Diane so quickly. She is now their new bff.

Diane is great!

Diana took care of my shy senior dog. I appreciate how communicative she was and the photos she sent of their day together.
