Safety, trust & environment

My home has a large, secure, fully fenced rear garden where dogs can run and relax safely. I live on a quiet road with no through traffic, and we’re surrounded by green space, so all walks are calm and away from traffic. I have plenty of dog toys and a large, secure garden for playtime. I will stick to your dog’s feeding routine and provide two long walks per day, plus as many garden toilet visits as required. For safety, my own dog is kept on an extended leash, and I do not allow swimming for safety reasons.

Information Diane S. would like to know about your pet

I like to meet your dog in advance so we can spend a little time together and see how well they settle. It’s important to me that dogs are introduced gradually, and that I take the time to understand any specific needs your dog may have. As we also have a dog of our own, it’s important that they are comfortable around each other as well. This helps ensure a safe, calm, and positive experience for everyone involved.

A typical day

⸻ I offer attentive, routine-focused care to make sure every dog feels happy, safe, and well exercised throughout the day. Mornings start with an early run around the garden to burn off energy, followed by breakfast or a well-earned treat. After that, we enjoy a short walk to stretch legs and settle into the day. At lunchtime, dogs head out for a longer walk, giving them plenty of exercise, stimulation, and time to explore before coming home for lunch and a well-deserved rest. In the early evening, we go out again for a walk, followed by dinner then playtime and plenty of cuddles to help them wind down. Before bedtime, dogs are always given a final toilet break to ensure they’re comfortable and settled for the night. I focus on maintaining familiar routines, plenty of exercise, and lots of affection, so each dog feels relaxed, cared for, and right at home. 🐾

Pet care experience

We have a very calm, relaxed family environment, which is perfect for dogs who are a little nervous and benefit from a gentle, steady routine. Dogs are welcome throughout our home and are not confined to specific rooms. They sleep in our bedroom at night, providing comfort and reassurance, especially for dogs who are used to close human company. Our calm village setting with minimal traffic and nearby green space supports safe, regular exercise. I offer a very home-style setup, with dogs sleeping in the bedroom with us. I’ve been grooming my own dog for years because she found it quite stressful, so I’m very used to taking things slowly and keeping dogs calm.

I cannot recommend Di, Boo and their lovely family high enough. They welcomed Tilly into their beautiful home with open arms. Tilly was allowed to roam freely as she does at home. Di sent lots of photos and videos and quite clearly, Tilly had a wonderful stay and has made a new best friend in Boo. Thank you so much to you all ❤️

Lulu had a lovely day at Diane’s. She was totally at home in no time at all and Diane kept me informed with messages and photos during the day. I have already rebooked and would definitely recommend Diane.

Diane and her family were just brilliant looking after Marley. They showed him so much love and care I don’t think he wanted to come home. He was so happy with Diane and her little dog, Boo and she kept me updated with pictures and messages throughout his stay which was so lovely. Marley was able to meet Diane and Boo before his stay which made it easier for us all. The love he was shown during his stay and how quickly he settled is a testament to how lovely Diane and her family are. We highly recommend Diane.

This was the first time we left Koko with someone outside of the immediate family. Throughout the process Diane was a godsend. She guided us, reassured us, arranged the pre stay meet ups, made sure Koko was ok with Boo etc. Then during the stay she updated us with pics and videos several times throughout each day. Diane really spoilt her rotten. Koko really enjoyed her stay and we will not hesitate to book Diane again x
