SMOKED CIGARETTES IN OUR HOME AND neglected to let out our puppies numerous times leading to accidents throughout our house. General lack of care for our pets, property, and hygiene. Very unfortunate considering she did so well with our pets the first time around, I can only assume she was taking advantage of our trust. Would highly recommend you seek another sitter.

ISSUES DURING DIANE’S STAY MARCH 14TH – MARCH 24TH Both dog foods left unsealed Jett had large bald spot near L armpit with hard crusty patches; I was not informed Mail not taken in on last day 1 med not administered to Jett – Calming Care No plants watered; 1 dead Stove left dirty Treat bag left open Jett's antianxiety atomizer was unplugged and moved across the room unplugged Unreported: flag blown down; siding blown down Cigarette butts on ground outside Bedroom smelled strongly of smoke Teak floor and 2 rugs soaked in urine in mudroom Garbage and recycling not taken out on Wednesday Baby and Jett were let outside multiple times when it was dark without leashes. Coyotes in the area. 3+ foot in diameter oil leak beneath were Diane parked her car. Oil also in spots all the way down the driveway Diane went to work another job on March 22nd and 23rd without notifying me, so I could make arrangements for someone else to come in and let the dogs out Shutters were not closed at night Propane tank was not checked weekly with level reported Because the dogs were abused/neglected, as evidenced by the lack of time they were allowed to go outside, Baby developed stress cystitis which presented itself as large amounts of blood in her urine. A neighbor drove Baby to the veterinarian where an exam was performed along with lab work drawn and an ultrasound performed. The veterinarian prescribed Deramaxx to decrease pain and inflammation. Per my phone conversation with the veterinarian after the lab work report was in, Baby will require another ultrasound at approximately 30 days if the symptoms have not resolved. FYI I got a 2nd opinion from a retired veterinarian about Baby’s condition and cause; he stated it was cystitis and was caused by being neglected by Diane. The veterinarian’s bill has been paid for by me as I have no pet insurance. Jett will also have to be seen by the veterinarian regarding the bald spot and crusty patches. When I adopted Jett, his adoption was postponed due to him developing multiple bald spots while living at the foster mother’s house. Per my veterinarian, Jett was to be on a high dose of fish oil to circumvent having this issue. As such, Jett has been on a high dose of fish oil ever since and has had no skin issues as a result. Jett’s medications were set up in pill organizers for the days when Diane was housesitting. Two of Jett’s meds were not in the pill organizer as one was a powder in individual pouches and the 9 softgels/day of fish oil would not fit. There is a medication sheet provided for all medications with space for Diane to initial that she had administer each medication. The 2 medications not in the pill organizer were left with the medication sheet with Jett’s name on each. Everything about the medications was explained during the meet and greet; at which time Diane had no questions. Since 1 pouch was not administered, the antianxiety atomizer was unplugged, and now having a skin issue, I wonder if Jett was receiving fish oil in my absence. On 2 occasions I texted Diane to remind her to close the shutters at night. I received no response. The shutters are used to regulate the temperature inside the house by keeping the cold out during the night therefore, saving propane and electricity. The copious amount of oil leaked on the driveway is damaging to the asphalt. I will have to hire asphalt professionals to attempt to clean up the 3+ foot diameter with a 1foot streak of oil going approximately 4 feet on the driveway and then into the grass plus all the smaller spots all the way from where Diane parked to the street (~200 feet). I have washed the rugs to clean them of urine. I have sprayed the teak floor multiple times with a product made to eliminate smells and stains due to urine. So far, the room still smells of urine and the teak floor remains stained. I believe the floor will have to be taken up and replaced.
