My husband and I lost our beloved Labrador after 9 fabulous years. We miss him immensely. We have an acre of land where he would spend many days catching balls, laying in the sun and surveying the neighborhood. We are active and like to take dogs for walks and general outdoor activities.. We enjoy taking care of others pets replacing the companionship we had with our lab. We do not allow dogs on our furniture or beds as I have a slight allergy that is controlled by not allowing pets on furniture or beds. My husband and I both grew up with dogs and are comfortable with maintaining the routine and discipline that dog owners require for their family member.

We highly recommend Diane and Michael. They were very easy and pleasant to communicate with throughout the entire process - from booking to drop off to pick up. Diane asked great questions about our dog to get to a feel for his needs and personality. They kept us in the loop with pictures and notes during his stay. And most importantly, our dog was happy! We felt as though we were leaving him with a family friend, not a stranger. Thank you, Diane and Michael!

Diane and Michael were great. They had Riley, our 1yr old half black lab/half golden for a few hours when we went to dinner in Cape May. It was kind of a test run to see how things would go for future stays. When I came to pick up Riley he was happy and fine. Diane and Michael are normal people, easy to talk to and have a nice home for a dog to enjoy. Riley will definitely stay there again.
Diane was great! She took great care of Helen, who is a senior lab. Diane kept in contact with me and sent pictures.

Schedule
My husband and I have fairly flexible schedules and are in and out of our home most days. We cannot accept high anxiety dogs that cannot be left alone from time to time.

Safety, trust & environment
Depending on pet and level of trust we like to give dogs full run of the house. We have a large yard to play fetch if dog is safe off leash. If not we have a nice neighborhood to take walks.
A typical day
Walks on beach and in town. Also happy to throw balls, frisbees, etc. Plenty of scratches, belly rubs and affection. We treat your dog like family.
