Availability
I currently work from home, stepping out to walk my dog or to run errands. I also take Hank to the dog park every morning from 9 - 10am, as it's a stone's throw away. Once I get to know your dog and with your permission, dog park visits may be an option.

Safety, trust & environment
Because of my experience, I’m often able to quickly assess a dog’s comfort level, energy, communication style, and individual needs - whether they need more structure, more patience, a slower introduction, reassurance, or simply space to settle in. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog as an individual and adapting my approach to help them feel secure and successful. For boarding and in-home care, I prefer a quieter, lower-volume environment where dogs can receive more personalized attention. I pay close attention to routines, feeding instructions, medication needs, exercise levels, and behavioral cues to help dogs feel as comfortable and settled as possible. I am American Red Cross certified in Pet CPR (Certificate ID is 02D1BHP). You can expect: • dependable and professional communication • regular updates and photos • close attention to your dog’s routines and needs • thoughtful, individualized care I’m especially comfortable with: • anxious or sensitive dogs • senior dogs (who are mobile - I'm in a townhouse) • high-energy dogs who benefit from structure • puppies and younger dogs learning routines • dogs who need patience, consistency, and calm handling My approach is calm, attentive, and grounded in trust and consistency. I understand how important routines, communication, and environment are for animals, and I strive to create a positive, low-stress experience while they’re in my care. I offer: • dog walking • one-off or occasional walks • repeat weekly walks • drop-in visits • overnight boarding in my home • daytime companionship and care

Dog Lover w/ Training Experience
Pet care experience
Experienced Care for Your Pup :-) I’ve spent more than 15 years working with and training horses and dogs, including raising and training my own dogs from puppyhood. Over the years, I’ve developed a calm, structured, and relationship-based approach that helps animals feel safe, understood, and comfortable in my care. I’m happy to help with both ongoing routines and occasional support when schedules get busy, travel comes up, or your dog simply needs an extra walk or check-in. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I care deeply about creating a positive experience for both pets and their people. My resident pup, Hank, is a lil 28 pound Corgi / Cocker Spaniel mix who is great with most every guest in our house, but I've learned that big dogs with strong, dominant personalities can intimidate him (typically German Shepherds, Malinois, Boxers, Bully breeds). Retrievers, Setters and other bigger pups are typically fine :-) We also have one bossy resident cat who keeps to herself, but is good at firmly and safely setting boundaries with pups if needed - just a quick air swat and hiss. I’d love to meet you and your dog to see if we’re a good fit.
Reviews

Diane is a wonderful sitter. Our dog Monty had a great time with her. She provided lots of photos of their adventures together over the weekend and was very communicative throughout. Would highly recommend her — thanks Diane!

Diane was so flexible with our last-minute booking that also had a later pickup date than originally anticipated. She's a delight to chat and text with, and she kept us updated on the great time our dog had at his "sleepover" at her house. Highly recommend!

She was great! I will definitely use her again. Highly recommend.

Diane was great! Ozzy seemed to have a nice time and to be well taken care of. Thanks so much!
