As a lifelong dog lover, I would be delighted to get to know your precious pet. I am a responsible, caring person with plenty of energy who loves the outdoors and misses canine company. My own dog, a Chihuahua called Musha, came to me after being moved around three previous homes and we were able to settle her and give her a happy life. My experience with her helped me to understand dogs and their behaviour and I am good at putting dogs at ease and making sure their needs are met. I also used to volunteer for Hearing Dogs for the Deaf, taking them for walks twice a week for a year. Dogs makes me happy. I am happy to have dogs at my house or pick them up from their homes if you book to go on a holiday. I have given my dog oral medication and would be confident to do the same with other dogs. I am mindful of any specific requirements your dog might have and will discuss and clarify exactly what he or she will need whilst in my care. My husband always had dogs growing up and we have taught our sons to be respectful of all animals. Our house has plenty of indoor and outdoor space and we are across the road from a lovely park. We recently adopted our own Chihuahua called Matty whom the boys adore. Matty likes to get involved in all playful activities with other dogs. His character lends to great social behaviour and interaction with these dogs and they thrive in his company. I am not suitable to look after medium/large dogs such as German Shepherds, Labrador Retrievers, Rottweilers etc as my house is too small to accommodate them. I will take some medium sized dogs such as Cockapoos and others of a similar size but I don't always accept bookings until I have met the dogs to decide if they are a good match for my home. I have 2 young sons who are not always comfortable with bigger and it’s important to me that any dogs who come us have an enjoyable time. I also do not accept very hyper dogs such as French bulldogs and cocker spaniels because I have noticed that they cause stress for my dog. Please check my preferences before you book me as I have had to decline lots of bookings for larger breeds.
