Information Diana L. would like to know about your pet

Things I would like to know about your dog: is she or he sensitive to other dogs, other humans, kids? Does she or he enjoy fast paced walking or love a more slow pace? Does your dog have a history of running out of a house? Does your dog enjoy the company of other dogs or at times needs space?

A typical day

On a typical day, I will attentively and lovingly tend to your dog's basic needs of feeding a balanced diet and ensuring fresh, clean water is available from clean bowls, routinely going to the bathroom, exercise, playing and exploring, mental stimulation, finding a safe and comfortable area to rest and sleep. Also, it's important to me that I tailor your dog's activities to your dog's age, breed, and energy level. For example, younger dogs, especially puppies, really need playtime and socialization, focusing on shorter, varied activities to avoid overexerting their developing bodies. High-energy breeds benefit from longer, more intense exercise, while older dogs might prefer shorter, lower-intensity activities to avoid strain. What is also priority for me is building a bond through positive interactions. For example, to build a bond I focus on consistent, positive interactions through activities they enjoy, like walks and playtime. During the activities I observe a dog's body language (especially looking out for cues that "you" communicated to me), I communicate clearly to your dog, and respect their boundaries. To build a bond, it's important to me to provide positive reinforcements like treats and praise for good behavior, and make sure they feel secure and comfortable in their surrounding. In addition to all this, your dog and I will go on regular walks to nearby parks and paths, we will explore nearby nature's walkways and socialize with others. If allowable we will go on short day trips to parks in other neighborhoods such as Wash Park or City Park. I love playing hide n seek with your fur baby, engaging your dog with their favorite toys and other playful, engaging activities.

Pet care experience

Living with, caring for and having fun with dogs truly makes me happy. So, as a part-time, stay-at-home-mom, contract worker and small business owner, I can do something that feeds my soul, which is caring for dogs from other families. I believe strongly in having healthy daily routines for me and my immediate family, including my dogs. Accumulatively, I have 45 years of experience with dogs, including elderly and disabled dogs. Currently, I am mom to an amazing Pug named Denali. Before Denali, our furry baby was Sophie, a Cocker Spaniel, and she went to the rainbow bridge at 14 years old. As a professional, I am a fundraiser, direct-care giver and advocate for women and children. In all parts of my life, I am a responsible, fun, easy-going and energetic person. I’m looking forward to being a caring, loving and playful part of your dog’s life. For more information about my availability please look at my schedule on Rover. Thank you and I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby soon.

Diana is wonderful! She’s extremely kind and willing to work with you and your dog to meet you where you’re at. She took excellent care of my Georgia and sent frequent updates - I wasn’t worried once despite it being our first time leaving our dog this long. Would absolutely book again!

Diana has been a reliable and great sitter for our Biscuit. She also has a very caring family that we know shows our dog a lot of love. And her dog Denali is amazing with Biscuit and she’s always excited to be there to play and hang out! Would recommend!

We left our 17-week-old puppy with Diana for the first time while we enjoyed a full date day and night, and she was wonderful! She kept us at ease with thoughtful updates and adorable pictures, and our pup loved his walks and snuggles with her. As nervous first-timers, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Diana truly went above and beyond - we’re so thankful and will definitely book her again.

We've relied on Diana three times now for midday walks when both my partner and I are away and she’s been amazing! Diana is incredibly communicative, attentive, and consistently sends great Rover card updates with photos. Most importantly, our puppy loves her! We feel confident and comfortable leaving our pup in Diana's care. Highly recommend!
