Availability
I work from home and so does my husband, so we are reliably available to give as much or as little attention as they need. We can flex to the walking and feeding schedule that your pup is used to, so they don't come back home to you asking for dinner early!

Safety, trust & environment
We have a large (roughly 2000 square feet) fenced yard. We've proactively blocked-up any holes under the fence large enough to squirm through, and we also have a shaded concrete patio. There's no doggy door, so they'll have to rely on their human servant (me!) to let them in and out! The space is large and open enough for a rambunctious dog to get their laps in, and free of any plants dangerous to pets. Pets are not welcome on beds or sofas, but that's just about the only boundary. If they prefer to sleep in the bedroom with us there is plenty of space for a dog bed; if they like to monitor the house from outside the bedroom we can set them up elsewhere. Senior dogs who struggle on wooden floors may not be a good fit - we've removed most of the runners that we had for our guy who struggled with this. There are no stairs inside the house, and only one shallow step from the house out to the backyard - if the one step is an issue, we can use a different door that is flush with the patio.

Information Diana & James T. would like to know about your pet
For a successful stay, I'll ask some key questions about your pet: ROUTINE & COMFORT • Daily Schedule: What is their typical eating, sleeping, and bathroom routine? • Separation Anxiety: How do they behave when left alone, and what is their maximum time left solo? • Sleeping Arrangements: Where do they typically sleep at night (e.g., in a crate, on the floor, or in bed with you)? BEHAVIOR & SAFETY • Triggers & Fears: Are they afraid of specific things (like thunder, loud noises, or men) or reactive to resource guarding (food/toys)? • Social Style: How do they react when seeing other dogs or people while on a leash? • Escape Risk: Are they a flight risk, prone to door-darting, or capable of jumping fences? HEALTH & EMERGENCIES • Health & Meds: Do they have any medical conditions, allergies, or require specific medication administration? • Vet Info: Who is your preferred emergency vet, and do I have permission to seek care if needed?

Pet care experience
My husband and I have experience caring for a dog through the full arc of their life - from puppyhood to mature independence to the soft decline of old age. If you have a senior pet who has personality quirks, a complicated routine, and a robust set of meds - we get it! We lost our guy at the advanced age of 17 in June 2025, and the house has felt too empty since then, so we're ready to channel that care into your pets. Our dog preferred to be an only child, and it was sometimes hard to find a sitter who offered a private stay. That's why we'll only take dogs from the same house for our stays - we're not trying to maximize our profits, we just want some happy dogs in our home again!
Reviews
Diana and James truly love animals and will treat your pet like their own. They are patient, kind, loving people who take pet care seriously, but not so seriously that they won't get down on the ground and role around with your furry buddy! I absolutely trust them with my dogs without a second thought. They are incredibly responsible, conscientious people who will make however much time they spend with your pet a fun, enjoyable experience. You can rest easy when your pet is in their care!
Diana watched our golden retriever Elly for over five years, and there is truly no one we trusted more with her. Elly was an active girl even in her older years, and Diana knew exactly how to handle that. She made sure Elly got plenty of play and cuddles while keeping her from overdoing it. And Elly made it pretty clear how she felt about it too. She ran into Diana's house without hesitation every time, immediately making herself at home and finding toys to claim for her stay. Diana cared for Elly the way we would, and then some. She even kept her through a food transition that had Elly smelling a little funky, and never batted an eye. For extended trips abroad, Diana was our person without hesitation. Regular updates, zero stress on our end, and a dog who always came home happy. Her care for her own dog Jackson says a lot about her too. As he aged and his needs became more complex, she learned what she needed to, took it all on, and gave him the best care and the best life. We can't recommend her enough!
You won’t find a better temporary dog mom for your furry family member than Diana T.! She has had dogs in her life since she was seven years old. She adopted a puppy of her own during her graduate school years in New York City. Her sweet guy thrived 17 years with her dedicated care. He moved with her several times across country and she always chose her living spaces with him in mind. Diana‘s husband is also a devoted dog parent. Diana is a traveler and has always used private dog sitters rather than boarding facilities. Her expectations are high and she will replicate the best of those situations. She chose people who were responsible, compassionate, and kind to her beloved pooch. In her professional life, Diana has led design teams. Her communication skills are polished, yet beyond that she knows what a pet parent wants to hear and see when they are separated from their dog child. She will be empathetic with pet parents. Because her precious pup lived a very long life, Diana has vast experience in pet care including safety measures, keeping on schedule for meals and meds, handling emergency situations, and making adjustments for aging dogs. She is very observant of dogs’ behaviors, and troubleshoots remedies if needed. Diana loves meeting new pet friends, yet respects their possible reactions and gives them time and space for adjusting. She will take joy in caring for a furry family member and will ensure it is healthy and happy while in her care.
