Information Diana G. would like to know about your pet

Dogs must have collars and name tags with current owner contact info attached to collar. Owners must have a copy of current rabies vaccine. I highly recommend keeping your dogs bordetella vaccines up to date. I currently do not take dogs in heat, or unaltered (not having been neutered or spayed). Where does your dog sleep at night? Does your dog do well at dog parks? Does your dog come when they are called? Our home is located about 15 minutes from the airport with easy freeway access. Packing for your dogs stay: Collar and leash food with dog's name and feeding instruction on bag or container. We don't free feed. (note we can only feed 2x a day, am and pm) What not to bring: No toys or treats unless they are donated to us. I can't keep toys straight between what we have and what has been brought from our dogs staying with us. And the kids will use the treats for everyone, because everyone likes treats! No dog beds or blankets. (Why? your dog won't sleep on it. my dogs will, while your dog sleeps on our dog beds. and your bed will go home dirty) Don't bath or groom your dog before your stay. Trust me. My yard is dusty and most likely your dogs will go roll around in the dirt as soon as they get here. Save yourself the time and schedule a bath or grooming for after you pick your pup up.

A typical day

We have a large backyard to play in throughout the day. We have four, social dogs. Lots of toys and a great space to run around and play. I'm home through most of the day, so dogs aren't left alone for long.

Pet care experience

* I can take some dogs last minute without a meet and greet. My husband and I have been dog owners our whole lives. We live in the city of San Diego; 8 miles east of Downtown San Diego. Very Close freeway access off the 94 and only 15 minutes to the airport. We have 4 respectful children that, along with our own 4 dogs, have helped us foster over 150 dogs for a local dog rescue for over 9 years. I am currently a work from home mom and love spending time with our dogs. Our home is a small modest ranch style home. We have a dog door out into a dog friendly back yard. The back yard is completely fenced 1/2 acre property with 4 foot tall chain link. I am the main contact with the dogs throughout the day and enjoy spending time with all our dog guests. My husband, Neil and my daughter Hanna also help with dog introductions and sometime assists with drop off and pick ups. Dogs sleep inside and are fed seperately from all other dogs. We are an active family with social dogs and a fun back yard and home to have your family pet feel safe and secure while you are away.

Our dog loved her first stay with Diana. We received photos almost every day of our happy girl playing in the safe, fully fenced, large yard. She was so exhausted from all the play but so happy. Would recommend!

Diana welcomed my little man right into her family. She was great with communication and made sure to send me updates and pictures of my pup having the time of his life while I was away. 10/10 experience. I will for sure be reaching out every time I need a pet sitter in the future.
