I have 2 dogs, an elderly cat, a young cat, 4 outdoor rabbits and a few chickens of my own. The chickens and rabbits are not accessible to visiting dogs. Not currently working away from home gives me plenty of time to be active with visiting dogs.

!New air lock set up in the yard! Dogs of different households are never left together unsupervised inside or outside. No dogs get left alone outside, ever. Cleanliness is important to me to keep my own pets safe, healthy, and happy. I have a large city property (almost half an acre), and fair sized home that allows me to keep pets from getting overcrowded with plenty of room to de-stress as necessary. No toxic artificial scents, candles, or sprays, and no essential oils that are known to be harmful to dogs or cats. I use pet safe cleaning products and techniques inside the home and limit the use of natural yard care products to as necessary application only. The yard is currently divided into two fenced sections. A modest sized front section that is small dog friendly with a play castle. The much larger section in the back is almost ready for visitors. All outdoor time is fully supervised for safety. Insured through PetCare Insurance

Information Diana D. would like to know about your pet
Please help us by making sure your pet is current on flea and tick prevention. I would love for you to tell me about your own pet's usual routine, any special needs or requests for their day to day care, if they enjoy or are fearful of walks, and what food allergies they may have.
A typical day
While I am flexible for individual needs, first potty break is around 6:30 am with breakfast about 7:30 am. Potty breaks are provided as often as necessary throughout the day. I encourage a healthy amount of exercise depending on visitor's needs and ability, walks are optional as I know some clients are nervous about their dogs leaving my property. Some activities we cycle through are walks, exercise in the yard, eating meals or treats with puzzle feeders, playing with toys, practicing or learning tricks, playing sniff games, and taking fun pictures. I also allow and encourage dogs to nap enough during the day so they are less likely to get over tired, excessively stimulated, or overwhelmed with activities. Dinner is about 7:30 pm. Last potty break is typically 10 or so pm but again, I am able to make adjustments depending on visitors.

Pet care experience
Now privately insured by Pet Care Insurance. For 27 years I have been actively researching and practicing the care, training, and enrichment of dogs as well as a few other species typically kept as pets. I use positive training and some cooperative care methods with all of my animals. I have been a volunteer teaching youth responsible dog ownership and how to train, groom, and compete in sports with their dogs for about 15 years. Over the years I've had the pleasure and privilege of working with a wide variety of breeds and mixed breeds.
Reviews

Diana was amazing with Winston she knew how nervous I was as this was the first time without my pup since I got him. She sent lots of pictures and kept in communication about him. She made him as comfortable as she possibly could her dogs made him feel a little more adventurous in the yard. I will absolutely rebook in the future! Thank you 😊

Very responsive and attentive to our dogs’ needs! Always shares photos and updates throughout the stay! We are always very satisfied!

This was my first time having non-family watch our senior pup, Fawkes, who has separation anxiety and a fluctuating appetite, so I didn't know what to expect. However, I had nothing to worry about. Diana was AMAZING! She sent us multiple daily updates of Fawkes, which we appreciated greatly, while also making sure she was comfortable and eating. And Fawkes had the time of her life, even having a case of the zoomies! I cannot recommend Diana enough.

Thank you very much for taking such good care of our Starla! Also thank you for the fun photos and video you sent us - it was very reassuring knowing she was in good hands and having a good time.
