Hi Everyone. I've been lucky enough to have pets including dogs throughout my life. In my early 20s I adopted two dogs Meisha and Chowda, who have since crossed the Rainbow Bridge. They taught me so much about how patience, training, love and care go such a long way in building a secure bond with your pet. I thought I'd honor my dogs by providing pet parents with a safe and secure place for their pets. I've dog and cat sat for friends and are also comfortable administering medication for either. I live by Irving Park in Bushwick which has a designated dog park, but if that's not your dog's jam I also have a fenced backyard they can enjoy solo. I am fully remote, so you can rest assured that I will be fully available during the stay. I can provide adequate potty breaks and playtime. You can rest assured that your pup's needs will be tended to. I'd love to welcome your pet into my home, drop in for visits at your place, or walks around the neighborhood. I'm also a runner, so if you're dog is into running and enjoying the sites let me know!

Diana was great with my dog, Nala! She sent pictures and updates and Nala looked very happy the whole time. The backyard was a great addition to her stay and I would definitely trust Diana to watch my dog again.

This was my second booking with Diana for her to watch my 3-year-old high energy rescue Chihuahua. I love that my dog Yuna loves Diana’s children and they get extra playtime. I was out of town during the blizzard so I appreciated Diana’s backyard. She is the best! I would definitely book again (:

I am fully remote. I can take your dog to the parks they are used to or help them discover new ones. I also have a backyard that my guests love to hang in.

Safety, trust & environment
This starts with a conversation with you. I'd love to know how your pet feels most comfortable with regards to their environment whether that be level of noise, stimulation, interactions with other animals or people. Safety: Before starting any pet sitting, I do a thorough walkthrough of the space to identify any potential hazards and address them. This includes securing trash cans, checking for small objects that could be swallowed, and making sure all windows and doors are secure. I keep a list of emergency contacts, including the pet’s veterinarian and a nearby emergency animal clinic. Pets are always supervised during playtime and walks to ensure they’re safe and not engaging in any risky behavior. I stick to the pet’s established routine as closely as possible to provide a sense of stability and predictability. This includes regular feeding times, walks, and any other specific routines the pet is accustomed to. I keep pet owners updated with regular check-ins, including photos and brief reports about their pet’s well-being and activities. I create a cozy and welcoming environment for pets by ensuring they have a comfortable resting place and access to their favorite toys and belongings. If the pet is staying in my home, I provide a designated area that feels safe and familiar. Both my home and the client’s home (if doing a drop-in visit) are kept clean and tidy to ensure a healthy environment. I clean up after pets, including any accidents, and ensure that their living area is fresh and hygienic.
A typical day
I start with a fresh and invigorating walk, catering to the pet's energy levels and preferences. If your dog enjoys starting their day with a game of fetch or a leisurely stroll, I'm game for either. After breakfast we'll hang at home and if they'd likely they can take some sun in my fenced backyard. I'll take plenty of breaks depending on your pet's needs to go for walk and play some mentally stimulating games. I will keep your dog safe in a tidy place and ensure they have access to fresh water and the snacks they may be accustomed to.
