I have had and been around animals my entire life. they are such a blessing. I lived in Iowa up until a few years ago and have experience with indoor and outdoor animals of all kinds from my own to family and friends. I currently have a 14 y/o German Shorthaired Pointer, Barney and a 13 y/o Calico, Bella. As Barney has gotten older he doesn't have as much energy as he use to for activies but he is the sweetest 'ol boy ever. He still loves seeing friends and making new ones as well as much shorter walks, sniffing around investigating smells, playing fetch and "grrr" with his toys. He also enjoys rolling in grass and basking in the sun working on his tan while napping. Barney is silly when it comes to water though, he is terrified of it. He has a special diet so I make all of his food homemade from fresh meats and vegetables. He takes supplements and an arthritis pill once daily which can be a struggle some days. I have volunteered at the Humane Society here in Asheville as well as back in Iowa. I would genuinely be happy to be of help with any pet care needs.
