I am flexible and often work from home as an artist/writer. Available after 10am until late evening. I'm based in the Kerns/Laurelhurst area and so can get to most places easily.

On walks, all pups receive my undivided attention. I build up familiarity with confidence and gentleness for hesitant animals who may take a while to warm up to a new person. Routines are important and I follow a pet's established routines when housesittting (with my own flair). Always making sure their areas are clean.
Information Dey R. would like to know about your pet
During a meet and greet is usually when I'll ask about any special needs or behaviors I need to be aware of. In the case of pet sitting, after the meet & greet and during the stay I will be in contact with questions that may come up.
A typical day
Will let them get all their sniffs in, play fetch and tug-of-war. They will get treats out of me if their diet allows! If socialized, going to the local park to meet other dogs and running around is a must. I also like to practice tricks with them if they have that training. And a good thorough brushing if they like it!

Hi I'm Déy, I really enjoy the company of cats and dogs, and getting to know them as individuals. A little about me: when I was 14 I took over the majority of the pet responsibilities in my family, and have loved it ever since. Sadly, I dont have pets of my own right now, but still love caring for them. I have tons of patience and will happily practice and reinforce adolescent dog training. I also have experience with anxious and/or nervous pets, and senior dogs. Accidents don't easily gross me out. I'll enjoy the walk as much as the pups do!

Déy was fantastic with our cat, Obsidian (Sid). They were responsive and communicative and I could tell Sid was comfortable around them from the photos they sent with updates. That made my partner and I feel at ease during our trip. They were flexible with leaving a little bit later the last day in order to make sure she wasn't left alone too long and had dinner. They also let us know that if there were any delays, they could stick around which was greatly appreciated. They also washed the bedding and remade the bed which was an absolute blessing after getting in late. The house was so clean and orderly and our cat was happy as can be. Déy was an absolute delight to have as a sitter and I couldn't recommend them more!
Dey was great and our dogs were so happy. We look forward to having them dog sit for us again!
