I helped look after my partners Cocker Spaniel. This included long walks in the Lake District as well as cleaning him up after he had been for a swim. Towards the end he wasn't able to walk very far so I would carry him around so he could still enjoy watching the ducks. I grew up in Cyprus and owned cats throughout my years there. At one point we had 7 cats in the house! I found a poorly kitten and helped him back to health by taking him in, feeding him and cleaning him up. He became one of our own! I am excited to be able to spend time with animals and help out where I can.
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
Unfortunately I am not allowed to have pets in my home. However, if I was looking after animals in someones home I would make sure I am aware of feeding and exercise schedules as well as health/bathroom needs of the animal. I would also enquire about any rules the owner may have. If the animal is very social I would make sure they get plenty of attention! However, if they're timid I would give them space and keep them calm.
Ratings and reviews
Dexter is a calm and friendly dog walker. He immediately made a connection with my dog, Lupin, taking time to get to know him and to check with me about any likes and dislikes. This was Lupin’s first walk with Dexter but he obviously felt at ease with him. I think Lupin appreciated going with someone à bit more energetic than me; he came back very happy and is now flat out. I have complete confidence in leaving Lupin with Dexter and would certainly ask him to walk Lupin again.
Dexter is kind, caring, organised and reliable. He was brilliant with our dog Edie who was very relaxed and happy in his company, and I’d highly recommend him to anyone.
Dexter is experienced with looking after dogs and in particular cats, not only with our pets but fostering many strays with an array of health issues. One of which being a blind cat with only 3 legs.

Schedule
I am a personal trainer and have a fairly flexible schedule. Some times I have big gaps between clients where I would love to help out with some walks or feeding.
