Animal Behaviour Graduate
I have a diploma in Animal Management and a bachelor’s degree in Animal Behaviour and Conservation. This means I have a deep knowledge and understanding of animal behaviour and welfare. I love animals of all shapes and sizes, I enjoy working with them, and hope to turn my love of animals into a life-long career. I have lots of experience with a variety of animals, from amphibians, reptiles and invertebrates to more common pets like fish, cats and dogs. I got my first pet hamster at age 8 and since then I’ve always had guinea pigs, hamsters or rats. I always exercised and provided enrichment for them daily. If you have any rodents I am able to care for them as well as dogs or cats, and take them out of the cage (if you’re comfortable with this) to provide them with enrichment. I also currently have a pet Giant African Land Snail and previously I have owned Praying Mantises and Guppy fish. Because of this, I am comfortable with caring for any exotic pets or fish that you have. I also have a pet cat. I play with and exercise her daily. I also groom her and give her light trimmings to maintain her fur. Finally, I have lots experience with dogs as I have been around them most of my life from a very young age. Although we touched on all species, dogs and cats were the main focus of my college course in terms of learning how to read their behaviour, nutrition and basic veterinary skills (such as CPR and health checks). Your animal will be well cared for and I will always enjoy caring for them. Thank you :)

This was our second time booking Dex to look after our four cats while we went on a short trip, and we couldn't be happier. Leaving four cats at once can be stressful, but I felt completely at ease knowing Dex was there. They kept us updated throughout the stay, which allowed us to actually enjoy our holiday without worrying. It’s clear the cats feel very comfortable around them, too! As always, Dex left the house spotlessly clean. It’s such a relief to return to happy cats and a tidy home. We have definitely will be booking Dex again. Thank you, Dex
Excellent ! This was the first time Dex has stayed in our home to look after our cat. We were completely satisfied with everything - and have already booked her for 4 more holidays !
We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter than Dex! This was our first time leaving our four cats, and I was incredibly anxious about it. Dex was so responsible and kept in touch with us constantly, providing daily updates that really put my mind at ease. When we returned, the cats were happy and chilling, and the house was spotless. It’s clear they took great care of both our pets and our home. We will definitely be booking Dex again!
