I take my dog daily to dog parks, open fields, and on the occasional walk, so spending time with dogs is already a big part of my everyday life! I recently graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a double major in Psychology and Criminology and have moved back home to Brentwood Bay, BC after playing NCAA Division I hockey in Minnesota for the past several years. While living in Duluth, I rescued my dog Loki from a local humane society, and he quickly became one of the best parts of my life. That experience only strengthened my love for animals and the importance I place on providing them with a safe, happy, and active environment. Now that I'm back home, I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability during both weekdays and weekends, allowing me to provide the attention, care, and exercise your dog deserves. I would love the opportunity to care for your dog as if they were my own!

Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. In my home, pets are treated like family and are always supervised when outside. I have a fairly large, fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely run and play, and I also live just down the road from a large elementary school field that is perfect for walks, exercise, and playtime. My family also has a white Boxer, so there are already two dog-friendly dogs in the home who are used to being around other pets. I follow each owner's instructions closely regarding feeding, medications, routines, and any special needs to help pets feel comfortable and maintain consistency. Whether I am caring for your pet in my home or yours, I will provide plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and regular updates so you can feel confident that they are in good hands.

The more I know about your pet ahead of time, the better I can ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while in my care. Whether it's their routine, personality, likes and dislikes, or any special needs, I want to make their experience as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.
A typical day
With my dog, every day, we go to the dog park and go on a walk. In between, I like to give him lick mats or a kong for mental stimulation. Throughout the day, he gets lots of pets and cuddles. I would treat your dog just the same as mine! However, this is just what works for my boy -- if you have requests for me, I welcome that!

I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and just rescued my own about a year and a half ago. He is my world:). I know how stressful it can be to leave your animal with someone so I understand how hard it can be!

Devyn was amazing and took very good care of Jax. She was very responsive and flexible which made everything very easy. I didn’t have to worry about him at all and knew he was in good hands.
Devyn did a great job with our very anxious husky for the day. Although she was a bit nervous at first, Devyn made her feel comfortable and she eventually made herself right at home, which we saw from the pictures Devyn sent through the day. We would not hesitate to use Devyn again when we’re back in the area!
Great communication and plenty of updates. Even took our dog on a hike. Would recommend!!
