I am an online college student, which allows me lots of flexibility. Although, I am currently in the process of getting hired at Starbucks so I could be working 4:30am to 1pm three days a week. But I would never be working both jobs on the same day, so I would be home with the animal(s) for at least the full half of the day outside of my job. It’s unknown what my set schedule would be as of right now! Will update when I know more! I waitress in Rogers with a schedule of Th/F/Sat dinners, plus one or two extra shifts if I’m schedule allows me to pickup. Note that this can be a huge hindrance for any animals that have a strict dinner schedule or timed medications since I will be working from 3pm to around 8-9pm (exact cut time is always unknown). This is something to consider!! It does help that I am “home” with them the entire duration of the beginning of the day :)

I always follow the owner’s directions because every animal varies by lots. Some dogs get unlimited access to food/water, while others have a strict schedule due to medications, which I obey. I have dealt with two dogs prone to seizures. They were on a strict medication diet which required me to take off work for that whole week of housesitting to properly care for the dog.

A typical day
We can go to the nearest dog park (if desired), find friends, & explore all the smells. I’m a big fetch person, I could do it all day! I’m all about outdoors as it is what typically puts a smile on the dog’s face so it’s not uncommon to find us outside most of the day!

I’ve lived with dogs and cats my entire life. I volunteer for Ruff Start Rescue, fostering over 100+ dogs and cats of every kind in my home. I have experience with small, shy, loud, aggressive, & large. I have house-sat for family and friends before. They relied on me to walk, feed, clean, empty litter, and give proper attention to their love bugs.
