Big Hearted Foster Dog Mom
I was a previous foster for Lap Dog Rescue of NM who saved over 50 adult dogs and puppies in my home. I cared for dogs who had severe trauma, anxiety, trained/not trained, highly active, but my true weakness was puppies. I had puppies as little as two weeks old who I would care for until they were old enough to go to their forever home. I enjoy traveling, so I like the opportunity to have more dogs but not have the responsibility full-time, which allows me to align both my passions: Dogs and Travel.

Devona was easy to communicate with and flexible. She gave my dog 2 walks a day and my dog seemed happy.

Schedule
I am a single woman who works from home so I have the ability to love, cuddle and play with pets all day, including daily walks, ball time, potty breaks, timed medicines, etc. I’m in the Ridgecrest area where there is a park right across the street and beautiful lush trees and neighborhoods that is perfect for walking and playing.

Safety, trust & environment
My home has a huge fenced off backyard with a medium sized doggie door for access to inside. It is safe for any large or small pets. I also have an outdoor camera to keep an eye on them while I step away for short periods of time. I live about 8 min from the airport which makes it very convenient for pick up/drop off. I’m a night owl so don’t mind late pick-ups.
A typical day
There is a beautiful walking location in Ridgecrest which has lush trees, lovely homes, and lots of friendly people. This neighborhood is where we would go on our daily walks. I grew up with a dog who played ball, so ball players are my absolute favorite for plenty of play time.
