Pet care experience
Your Dog’s Favorite Staycation Spot
I’m an NYC-based performer and professional dog trainer offering a fun, engaging doggy daycare experience in my spacious Upper West Side apartment (73rd & Columbus). Your pup won’t just be “watched”—they’ll enjoy plenty of playtime, enrichment, and personalized attention in a safe, structured environment. I love having a furry friend (or two!) around and make sure every dog feels happy, stimulated, and right at home. I’ve been working with dogs my entire life, starting with the three yellow Labradors I grew up with and continuing into my work as a professional trainer. I have a strong understanding of dog behavior, body language, and training fundamentals, which allows me to provide thoughtful structure and guidance—not just supervision—throughout the day. I’ve also been dog sitting in NYC for over 10 years and have cared for a wide range of breeds, ages, and personalities—from high-energy puppies to more sensitive or senior dogs. I love labs and retrievers, chihuahuas, dachshunds, frenchies, and greyhounds, and I’m happy to welcome any well-behaved, house-trained, and non-aggressive pup into my care. I take lots of pictures and am happy to send you daily updates of how much fun your pooch is having! Please note that rates are for a 24-hr period and will be pro-rated if exceeded. Holidays are a busy time and may affect rates--just ask. *TIPS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED!* While I love providing my services, Rover does take a sizable cut of payments. :) MEET & GREETS: I am now charging a $25 meet and greet fee. Please understand that my time is valuable and I feel this has become necessary to avoid scheduling with owners who aren’t serious about booking my services. EARLY/LATE DROPOFF & PICKUP: Please note I have a $30 fee for dropoffs & pickups before 9am or after 9pm. I cannot always accommodate this but feel free to ask! I look forward to meeting your pup and he or she will have a great stay! SCHEDULE: Because I freelance, I am able to a keep a pretty flexible schedule. I am able to work from home a lot, allowing me plenty of time to spent with pups! I do step out for workouts, classes, auditions, etc., so please let me know if your dog is unable to be left alone for a couple of hours. I have many years of experience watching all sorts of dogs and am well-versed in knowing how to deal with different behaviors and traits. I pride myself at being able to “keep the peace” between dogs I watch and making sure everyone has a wonderful time! NOTE: I do often watch more than one dog at a time, so I cannot accept dogs who with aggressive tendencies or who do not play well with others.

Devon was great with Max! She kept us updated and sent photos throughout his stay, which we really appreciated. Max was a very nervous at first, and she was very patient and understanding with him and helped him settle in. We felt very comfortable knowing he was in good hands. Thank you, Devon!
Devon did such a wonderful job of taking care of my 12 year old havanese. I got lots of updates so I always knew he was well cared for throughout his stay with her. I would definitely recommend her to others and will be booking again in the future.

I needed a last minute sitter and Devon was the best, most responsive person. This is my first time using Rover and I was a bit nervous but she was made this first experience very easy. I would definitely recommend!

Devon was amazing! Very communicative & handled coordination of a drop off to a friend

Devon took great care of Oscar, and he came home happy and relaxed. She was kind, easy to connect with, and clearly cared about making sure he was comfortable. I appreciated the updates while I was away and would definitely recommend her.

Devon did an amazing job with my pup, who is new to city life. She was responsive in setting up the dog sitting and she kept me informed as to how my dog was doing, sending a delightful picture or two along with updates through the day. She also kindly worked with my schedule, making it much easier to do my day, especially once it seemed like my pup had a wonderful time with her. Thanks, Devon! Looking forward to Oona staying with you again.

Schedule
I spend a lot of time at home so giving your dog the personal attention, walks, and love it needs will not be a problem. Your doggy is welcome to sleep in bed with me too, if they like! *Note: I do need to occasionally step out to go to the gym or teach, so if your dog cannot be left alone for at least 2-4 hours I might not be able to accommodate.

I have puppy-proofed my home as much as I can and am happy to Housesit if I am not currently hosting other pups at my place! If you live within a few blocks from me, I can sometimes split the time between both places.
Pets
A typical day
My neighborhood is extremely dog friendly, and I am less than one block away from Central Park, the perfect location for dog walks. I am happy to take your dog on as many long walks as they like and especially love playing in the park!
- 0 to 15 lbs16 to 40 lbs41 to 100 lbsover 101 lbsNo females in heatDevon can host up to 6 pets per night
- Before sitting your pup I'd love to learn more about them! What is their personality and typical routine like? How do they do around other dogs, and do they have any separation anxiety? Do they have any special needs, unique tendencies/habits or allergies I should be aware of? WHAT TO BRING: When packing for your pup, I recommend packing only the bare essentials—less is more! Start with food (approximate amount measured out for the stay—please no entire dog food bags as I have limited storage!), leash, medicines, poop bags, and the rest is up to you. I have plenty of dog bowls, toys, blankets, and even a small crate if your pup requires. Please no more than 1-2 toys and only a small selection of treats; otherwise, it gets nearly impossible to not mix them up with other dogs’ belongings or have them get lost under furniture!
