We are a married couple that live in Avondale with a Samoyed. My husband is someone who lives and breathes animals and I have been raised with dogs and several animals since I was a baby. From the age of six I have actively looked after most types of pets but mainly specializing in dogs and birds. I have raised several dogs and have taken incredibly good care of other peoples dogs and always put their needs first. I can handle anything from small dogs and all the way up to Rottweilers and Tibetan mastiffs. I go above and beyond for pets and ensure that their needs are always met. I ensure that I understand the traits of each dog breed as well as the behaviours specific to your dog. Asides from dogs, I am also able to care for birds and have looked after my own birds and other peoples birds. I also used to work for 2 years at a bird rehabilitation facility and have cared for parrots, ducks, and birds of prey. Essentially, I am someone with over 22 years of experience caring for dogs and birds and I look forward to taking care of your fluffy (or feathered) family members!

Devin was my cat sitter for month while I was out of town. He took my cat in and made sure the home was cat-proof and filled with enriching things to do to keep my cat active. I was nervous about leaving for so long as well as housing my cat somewhere not my house, but Devin made the process seemless and sent updates on how well my cat was doing. When I came to pick him up and his things, he was well fed, happy, and stress free. Would recommend Devin to any pet parent.

Schedule
I am home all day 7 days a week and can walk or board your dogs and birds. I will always have plenty of time to interact with your pets and ensure that they are doing great!

Safety, trust & environment
When it comes to dog walking: I am situationally aware and always take great care to look out for hazards and also to ensure that your dog does not step in or eat things off the ground! I also have great leash control and am physically fit so can go for long walks or runs with your dog. I will also update you during the walk on how your dog is doing. When it comes to dog boarding: I am in a dog friendly neighbourhood and have a fenced off front yard. I also have air conditioning and a safe, clean environment in my home that will keep your pets healthy. I will always ensure that they are drinking water and are adequately fed. I will also pay attention to their stools and look out for any other health indicators and will keep you regularly updated with how your dog is getting on. I also will consistently play and interact with your dog and make them feel at home! For birds: I am in a pet free house and have a nice, spacious, hazard free place that is draft free and will consistently check and interact with your birds as well as ensuring that they always have food, clean water, and clean cage. When they are out of the cage I won’t ever leave them unsupervised and will take the upmost care to ensure their safety. Asides from updates, I also will do daily checks on their health and ultimately, take the best care for your feathered family member! Whether it’s dogs or birds, I will always put them first and take the best care of them!

A typical day
I love to keep dogs mentally and physically active. I will always play with them, exercise with them and consistently interact with them (as well as letting them have time to rest). Hydration and food is important and I regularly ensure they have access to these things and check that they doing great. From walks and runs to play time and naps, I always ensure that all of the dogs needs are met :)
