I am currently a stay at home dog mom, so I am available pretty much any time. I will get up as early or stay up as late as needed to care for your pet. Prices explained: House sitting- $200/night. I have had multiple people try to book house sitting jobs with me and then are shocked by the price. The reason for the price being $200/night and so much higher than my check-in and dog walking prices is because I have to factor in drive time, mileage, and gas that it takes me to get to your home in back, as well as trips I will have to make in between to come home and care for my own dogs and to shower and eat as well as the hours I’m spending at your home overnight. I am away from my own home/bed, family, and dogs so I can do a job that requires me to stay somewhere most of the day and overnight to care for living beings. Because of that, I am going to charge a flat rate of $200 that covers the moment I leave my home to when I return after the last day, which includes every night I spend in your home. If you require me to stay in your home overnight for the job, I will not do it for free. Rover also takes 20% of my earnings, so I am actually only making $160/night. If you break it down, say I’m there for around 12 hours for an overnight house sitting job, I’m only making around $13/hour. If you do not require me to stay overnight, my check in and dog walking prices are much more affordable and I can check in several times a day and stay for up to an hour each time. Also, please list each animal in your home on your profile. As many other Rover sitters, I charge per animal. If there is only one dog on your profile, I expect to only be caring for one dog. It is an additional $10 or less per additional dog, depending on which service you book.

I have previously talked about how I care for my dogs in my home, but I will not be offering any kind of in home care as two of my dogs are reactive. However, at the client’s home, I can follow any instructions on care down to the very last detail. I can provide your pet with cuddles and playtime if they are comfortable with it. I can walk them as well, for any amount of time or distance. I will meet your needs and your pet’s needs!

A typical day
This is definitely dependent on your rules and requirements, as well as the area you live in and what the dog likes. But, a perfect day would be taking them on a long walk to a park or their favorite place, playing fetch/tug of war/etc with them, cuddling/snuggling with them as much as they want, and maybe working with them on a trick or two.

Pet care experience
I have taken care of neighbor’s and friend’s dogs and cats since I was around 12 years old. I grew up with 4-5 dogs and cats at a time, as well as reptiles and amphibians. I have four dogs of my own now. I have cared for dogs as small as chihuahuas and as big as Great Danes. I’ve also cared for puppies and kittens, and have helped in the delivery process of nine German shepherd/Pitbull mixes. I fostered several sets of kittens while I was in high school. I did dog obedience and agility with my childhood dogs for 5 years or so when I was younger, and also went to private obedience lessons, so I am confident I can handle and care for any dog. I am a responsible pet owner as I believe in spay/neuter, I train and walk all of my dogs 4-8 days a month, I have a large fenced in backyard for them, and I keep them happy and healthy. I hope all of this will show you that I am the perfect person to care for your fur baby while you are away. I am also a photographer so I can take some pretty cute photos of your babies for you while you are away! I also offer training services outside of this app. I am working to get enough experience training so I can become certified. If you are interested, please let me know!

I really appreciate Devin’s availability and willingness to respond to me when I blew up her phone ;) I literally could not find a pet sitter in this area that would respond to me. I have a lot of anxiety about leaving my dogs, and so it was nice to have someone who responded so quickly. (On a semi-unrelated note to pet sitting, she also took really cute pictures of my dogs which was helpful to my daughter while we were gone).
Even after finding out her gpa had passed away, she still took care of our Buddy while we were gone. That is a huge character builder. Thanks so much Devin.
