Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine because I intentionally plan my schedule around the pets I’m caring for. As a college student, I have structured class times, which allows me to create consistent morning, afternoon, and evening check-ins for walks, feeding, playtime, and any special care needs. I’m used to building my day around animals since I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life. Whether it’s early morning walks, mid-day potty breaks, or evening cuddle time, I make sure pets receive attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. On weekends, I typically have even more flexibility, which allows for longer walks or extra playtime. Caring for pets isn’t something I squeeze in — it’s something I prioritize because I truly enjoy it. 🐾💛

In a client’s home, I respect their space and keep everything clean and organized. I make sure pets stay on their normal routine to reduce stress while their owner is away. This includes walks, playtime, enrichment activities, and plenty of attention and affection. I also provide updates and photos so owners feel reassured. If caring for pets in my home, I create a calm, pet-friendly environment with close supervision. I ensure they have a safe space to rest, regular potty breaks, structured playtime, and lots of companionship. Because I’ve had multiple dogs and cats my whole life, I’m very attentive to body language and behavior changes, especially for puppies or senior pets who may need extra care. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always aim to provide consistent, loving, and responsible care. 🐾💛

I also like to know about their behavior and temperament—such as whether they are shy, energetic, nervous around strangers, or very social. Knowing what they enjoy (favorite toys, walking habits, or cuddle time) helps me keep them happy while their owner is away. It’s also important for me to know if the pet has any training cues, house rules, or things that might make them anxious. Since I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, I understand that every pet has a unique personality, and learning these details ahead of time helps me give them the best care possible.

A typical day with the pets I watch is centered around keeping them happy, active, and comfortable. I start by making sure they are fed and have fresh water, then we usually go on a walk or spend time outside so they can get some exercise. Throughout the day I love playing with them, whether that’s tossing a ball, playing with toys, or just giving them lots of attention and affection. I also enjoy spending quiet time with pets, especially if they like cuddling or relaxing nearby. If the pet enjoys going outside, we can take walks around the neighborhood or spend time in the yard. I make sure to follow the pet’s normal routine so they feel safe and comfortable while their owner is away. Since I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, I naturally enjoy interacting with them and understanding their personalities. My goal is always to make sure they feel loved, safe, and entertained while they are in my care.

Develyn was amazing! We had to leave our puppy for the day, and she made the experience for us way easier. She communicated very well, keeping us updated with pictures about our little baby. He was fed on time, played with, and potty where he was supposed to. The house was also exactly how we left it. Overall the experience was amazing and we HIGHLY recommend Develyn as a pet sitter.
Develyn was great! She took a good amount of time before the booking to get to know my dogs and allow them to adjust to her while I was there, which helped me feel comfortable leaving my pups in her care! She kept me updated throughout her stay on how the dogs were and sent pictures throughout! She also left the house cleaner than when she arrived which was so nice to come home to! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter (both home and pups)!!!
