I live in Dover, NH and work remotely on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, which allows me to easily incorporate pet care into my daily routine. On those days, I am available for drop-in visits and dog walking throughout the day, making it easy to accommodate pets who need daytime attention. I am also open to weekend care and can be flexible based on your pet’s needs. My schedule allows me to provide consistent, reliable care while ensuring pets receive the attention, exercise, and routine they are accustomed to.

Before caring for your pet, I like to learn as much as possible to ensure a safe and positive experience. This includes any known triggers, behaviors, or situations your dog may find stressful, as well as things they enjoy and respond well to. I also appreciate knowing preferred walking routes, areas they enjoy exploring, and any paths or environments they are uncomfortable with. This helps me tailor each visit or walk to your pet’s comfort level and routine.
A typical day
For the pets I watch, fun and engagement are at the heart of our time together. Walks are a big part of our routine, where we explore the neighborhood or visit their favorite spots to ensure they get plenty of exercises and stimulation. If they have a favorite game, like fetching a ball or frisbee, I'm more than happy to join in the fun. I love interactive playtime, as it strengthens our bond and keeps them mentally and physically active. Having experience with my own hounds, I'm also very comfortable and skilled in handling untrained or hunting dogs during our walks, ensuring they have a safe yet exciting outdoor experience. Each activity is tailored to the pet's preferences and needs, ensuring they have a joyful and fulfilling time.

I’ve been passionate about animals from a young age, beginning with a beloved German Shepherd who taught me the importance of trust, patience, and strong human–animal bonds. That foundation shaped my approach to pet care and continues to guide how I care for every pet as if they were my own. At 18, I rescued two basset mix hounds, Copper and Lou, who are now 9 and 11 years old. Caring for them over the years has deepened my commitment to animal welfare and given me extensive hands-on experience with senior dogs and dogs with special needs. Copper has allergies to yeast and dust mites, so I’m very familiar with managing dietary needs, environmental sensitivities, and consistent care routines. I’m dedicated to providing a safe, attentive, and loving environment for every pet in my care. Your pet will receive patience, affection, and individualized attention, along with plenty of baby-voice conversations when no one is listening. That part can stay our little secret.

Devan was great! She booked with us last minute and showed up when we expected. She was very respectable of our home. She had great contact and sent pictures often. She was very easy to deal with and made us feel very comfortable. She left the house very clean and tidy. I would highly recommend Devan and am excited we found a new reliable petsitter. Our dog definitely approved!
Devan was awesome while taking care of my fur baby. She kept in close contact with me and sent me plenty of photos with my boy and his big goofy smile! We’ll definitely have her back up to help when I’m tied up with work.
