I’ve owned and cared for dogs, cats, ferrets, birds, and other small mammals since I was a pup (human child) myself. From energetic puppies to mellow seniors, I can adapt to different needs and personalities. 👇 Read More! 👇 🏡 Our Home 🪹 I work from home full time and have a flexible sched. I live with my partner who also works from home Tues&Fri. We both love dogs! And only board from one household at a time. So your pup will have lots of attention and care! I’m especially attentive to pets who need a little extra patience or care. 🦴 Please read before booking. 🐕 I sit a wonderful and friendly labradoodle Mon. to Fri. 8 to 7. If boarding with pick or drop offs Mon or Friday, there may be some overlap. 🙋 What to expect 🙆 You can expect frequent updates ~ 3hrs morning - evening. Lots of pictures! I can't help it, I'm sorry. There will be at least a few glamour shots. Amenities available at no charge with owner consent: bed, fluffy couch cover, toys, all washed between guests, and Charlee Bear treats :)

I needed care two days in a row and decided to give Rover a try for the first time as a client. I had a good feeling about Devan from his profile. My comfort and trust with having him care for my 14 year old dog, and most important companion, continued after we met. I was so grateful and glad we found him! Such a relief! Devan has a calm presence and is pleasant to be around, so it wasn't a surprise that my dog was so calm and content when I picked him up both days. I could tell it was important to Devan to clearly understand my, and my dog's, preferences, and do all that he could do to help keep my dog safe, happy, and healthy while in his care. Devan's home is centered around being a dog-friendly, dog-safe environment, and precautions are taken to prevent issues. I appreciate his proactive, thoughtful approach. Fun is also a part of Devan's agenda and my dog had a lot of it! He slept deeply both nights and all day the following day after being in Devan's care. He obviously had a good time with plenty of mental stimulation! Along with playful interactions and adventures, my dog was given his space for rest, sleep, and chill time, and taken on frequent potty breaks and walks as needed. The first day unfolded differently than planned and I had to make some last minute changes. Devan was very understanding, accommodating, and went above and beyond to help and support us. I was and am very grateful for how easily everything flowed. I would definitely recommend Devan, especially if you're super selective about your dog's care, like I am. Thank you, Devan! Devan was amazing and took excellent care of my dog Oliver. He took him on many walks during his stay and kept me updated the entire time with amazing photos. I would strongly recommend Devan to anyone looking for a dedicated and trustworthy sitter!
Bentley had his own vacation while we took ours! Devan was communicative and make sure to keep my little guy active. Bentley even cried when he left he had so much fun! I highly recommend!
Devan was excellent with Pepper, and was extremely meticulous in his communication. We received constant text and photo updates during his stay and that’s one of the most important qualities when caring for a pet.

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into my routine; I work from home on flexible hours and can adjust my schedule to fit your pet’s needs. I’m especially available for morning, and midday walks or check-ins during the week and weekends. Since I don’t currently have pets of my own, I love having dedicated time to focus on yours. Whether you need a consistent weekly schedule or occasional help, I’m happy to work with you to find the right fit.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I always follow your instructions closely; whether it's feeding schedules, medication, or favorite walking routes and make sure your pet feels safe, calm, and cared for while you're away. I’m attentive to body language and behavior, and I give pets plenty of space and comfort when they need it. I’ll also keep you updated with regular checkins and photos so you always know how your fur baby is doing. If walking, I always use secure leashes, avoid risky situations, and tailor the pace and route to your dog’s energy and needs. Your pet’s safety and happiness come first, every time.
A typical day
A typical day with your pet depends on their personality and routine. For dogs, that might mean a walk around to one of my many favorite Queen Anne parks, some playtime with their favorite toy, and plenty of positive attention. I was a photographer in a previous life, and so you can expect a few "glamour" shots during your pets stay. I can't help it, I'm sorry. I see a cute dog, I take a 100 pictures! I always make sure they have fresh water, treats if allowed, and a clean, comfortable space. My goal is to help your pet feel relaxed, cared for, and entertained while you're away.
