I work full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm remotely so I am able to be with your fur baby/(s) most of the time I’ll be housesitting for you. I also have a flexible lunch break and can give your dog(s) a potty break or a walk during my lunch if there is no dog door.

I require a meet and greet in a public space before boarding or house-sitting to ensure a good fit and build trust. This helps me understand your pet's behavior and needs, allowing for a smooth and comfortable experience for your furry family member(s).
A typical day
Here is a typical day with your pets... Morning: - Early Walks: Start the day with a refreshing walk before 7 am to enjoy the cooler temperatures. - Breakfast: Feed your pets their morning meal, ensuring they have fresh water and a comfortable place to eat. - Playtime: Engage in a fun play session, whether it's fetch in the backyard, interactive toys, or laser pointers for cats. Midday: - Potty Breaks: Provide potty breaks for dogs, ensuring they get outside and stretch their legs. - Mental Stimulation: Offer puzzle toys, training exercises, or enrichment activities to keep their minds active. - Cuddle Time: Spend some quiet time with your pets, giving them affection and attention. Afternoon: - Another Walk: If the weather permits, take another walk or outdoor play session in a shaded area. - Lunchtime: Provide a midday meal or snacks for pets with specific feeding schedules. - Rest Period: Allow your pets to rest and relax, keeping an eye on their comfort and well-being. Evening: - Dinner: Serve their evening meal, ensuring fresh water and a clean feeding area. - Evening Walks: Enjoy a leisurely walk after 8 pm, enjoying the cooler evening temperatures. - Interactive Play: Engage in another play session tailored to your pet's preferences and energy levels. Growing up with a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, fish, rabbits, hampsters, and more, I have extensive experience in animal care. I treat every pet as my own, ensuring they receive all the love and attention they need. For dogs, I offer engaging walks around the neighborhood, trips to the park, desert trail adventures, and lakeside strolls on weekends. During the summer, I prioritize your pet's safety by scheduling outdoor activities only in the early morning or late evening to avoid the heat. I also love playing fetch in the backyard and will keep you updated with daily pictures. My goal is to keep your pets happy, loved, and safe. I have previously house-sat and cared for pets for a wonderful couple with two dogs and two cats for several years. Additionally, I do not have any pets of my own (yet), so Rover allows me to engage in my passion and love for animals! These experiences have fueled my desire to help more families by providing exceptional pet care. If you're looking for in-home care, I am here to ensure your pets have a wonderful time. Desiree does a great job taking care of my home and pets while I’m away I come home and it’s exactly as I left it and my pets are happy healthy, and smiling. I don’t think I could ask for much more than that. many of my trip I’m technology free and don’t get the updates until later, but she sends me photos and keeps me posted throughout the time away. I trust Desiree and wish I could tip her more. Honestly, she does a great job.
Desiree house-sat for the second time- for me, this time for a week. I was camping in the woods without cell phone service and very limited wifi. To do that, and leave pets at home, you need a really deep level of trust, not only that the petsitter will do what they have agreed to, but also in the event of any emergency that the person will take care of your loved Pets. My second experience was just as good as the first. Desiree is reliable, consistent and communicative. My pets were safe and happy when i returned and my home was also just as i left it. Thank you Desiree for your wonderful care of my home and all the animals!
Desiree was wonderful! She really went above and beyond. I have gone back and forth for years regarding my petcare needs while away, and tried boarding as well as rover sitters. both have pros and cons. Some of my concerns using rover in the past has been reliability, as well as the fact that my modest home does not have a guest room and is definitely lived in so I wasn't sure a pet sitter would find it comfortable. Desiree was professional and scheduled a meet and greet to ensure we were a mutual fit before accepting the booking which I appreciated. She took great care of ALL my pets while away and kept me updated. We unexpectedly needed another night away and Desiree was very flexible and was able to adjust the booking for me (I try to live as low tech as possible and sometimes struggle with such modifications). She went above and beyond by also some care asks for my gecko and fish. Thank you so much Desiree for taking great care of all my animals and being a pleasure to work with!
