I grew up always having a pet around which fostered my love of being with animals. As a young adult, I had the pleasure of raising a laid-back, well behaved Huskador with my past partner/current friend, which taught me so much. We spent a lot of time understand how the mind of a dog works and what are the best ways to guide and love on them, utilizing training techniques picked up from Cesar Milan. That being said, I’m not so rigid to the point where your dog can’t just simply have fun being a dog. Rules are important but joy is more important. I currently care for two fun-loving cats and a recent 7 mo. rescue pup, Bruce. We have a cozy little apartment filled with snuggles, but since we don’t have a yard, I spend a lot of the day getting Bruce outside for exercise and stimulation. I’m a bar manager and single pet mom with an alternative schedule so while I’m happy to make some extra cash helping out the pet owners in my community, my ideal situation would be to find a people-dog family that Bruce and I vibe with to get on a sort of trade system. If you need help during the day, and I need help during the evenings we might just be a perfect match, once some trust and routine is established. I would love to chat more on the idea of going beyond simple pet “services” and moving into the realm of creating a village. Nobody should have to get on alone.
