Cat Foster & Can Opener
I speak fluent cat... which mostly means I know when to offer treats, when to break out the wand toy, and when I've been politely asked to leave someone's personal bubble. As a cat foster, I've cared for kittens, seniors, shy cats, and the self-appointed rulers of the household. I'm used to different personalities, medication schedules, zoomies at 2 a.m., and finding cats in places that definitely shouldn't fit a cat. I'll care for your cat like they're my own and keep you updated with photos, because I know being away from them can be just as hard on you as it is on them.
Safety, trust & environment
I follow the pet's normal routine as closely as possible. During visits, I make sure food and water are fresh, litter boxes are cleaned, and pets get whatever attention they enjoy—whether that's playtime, brushing, treats, or simply having someone sit with them for a while. I'm comfortable giving oral medications if needed and always keep an eye out for any changes in behavior, appetite, or litter box habits. As a cat owner and foster, I know that every cat is different. Some greet you at the door, and some prefer to supervise from across the room. I'm happy to go at their pace and make sure they feel safe and comfortable while their family is away. I also send updates and photos after visits so owners know how their pets are doing.

As a fellow cat foster, I don't trust many people with my kittens, but I had complete peace of mind leaving them in Desiree's care. She understood how much extra attention young kittens need and kept me updated with photos and messages while I was away. When I got home, everyone was happy, healthy, and clearly well-loved. I'd absolutely trust her to pet-sit again!

Schedule
'm a stay-at-home parent and work part-time in the evenings, so I'm available during the day for pet visits and check-ins. Animal care is already a big part of my daily routine. I currently have 5 resident cats and 5 foster cats, so feeding, cleaning, medications, and keeping up with different personalities is just part of everyday life. My schedule is flexible, and I'm used to planning my day around the needs of animals.
