Loving Care for Your Furry Friend!
I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember! Growing up, I cared for small pets like hamsters and guinea pigs, and later, I helped care for our family dog who lived to be over 15 years old. Toward the end of her life, she was blind and deaf, and I was there for her every step of the way, making sure she was as comfortable and loved as possible. I’ve always been around extended family pets, so animals have been a big part of my life. Recently, I had the joy of pet sitting a puppy for three weeks while the owner was out of the country. It was such a rewarding experience! I’d love the opportunity to care for senior dogs, as I know how important it is for them to have gentle, loving care in a peaceful environment. I live in a quiet neighborhood with a cozy home, perfect for dogs who need a calm, comfortable place to stay.

I was disappointed with this stay. My dog is a 15-year-old senior toy poodle, and I provided feeding instructions for him. During the stay, he was able to get into another dog’s food and subsequently developed diarrhea and vomiting. Due to his condition, I picked him up a day early. I did not receive any photos during the stay, despite being told photos would be sent. When I picked him up, Simon had dried feces and vomit on him, and his bed was soiled with dried feces and vomit as well. I had to bathe him immediately and dispose of the bed. After returning home, the diarrhea and vomiting continued. I also noticed a hotspot after pickup. The sitter was responsive when I reached out and accommodated the early pickup, but I was not comfortable with the level of care or communication provided during this stay.
This was the first time we used this app, and we were a little worried about leaving our small dog with someone we didn’t know. But the moment I saw Derrika’s smile in her photo, I knew she was the right person. Even before the drop-off, I was still a bit nervous, but as soon as Derika met us, all the stress disappeared. She welcomed us so warmly, with a huge smile and genuine happiness in her eyes. Taya went into the house with her without even looking back at us 😂 We’re extremely happy with the experience and highly recommend her ❤️

Derrika is absolutely the best. She’s a dear old friend and mentor whose Rover profile I stumbled upon. Having her watch Cartie was an immediate yes for me. Which says a lot because my pup and I both experience anxiety when we’re apart. Derrika took great care of Cartie… as I expected! She sent photos, let her sleep on the bed amd eased my mind when I checked in. Cartie will absolutely be back whenever I’m in need of a sitter.
Derrika provided a perfect Spring Break vacay for my pup! The only problem was that my trip got cancelled, so Coco’s escape got shortened to only one day. She can’t wait to see you again!
Yogi and I feel extremely fortunate to have found Derrika and her family. I moved on Friday, and I can honestly say the thing we will miss most is the care, love, and attention Yogi received from them. They were absolutely wonderful with him and treated him as if he were their own. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such kind and loving hands. God forbid if anything ever happened to me, they would be the first people I would trust to care for him for the rest of his life. They truly loved Yogi like he was part of their family, and I am incredibly grateful for the care they gave him.

Schedule
As a homeschool mom who works from home, I have the flexibility and availability to provide consistent, dedicated care for pets. My schedule allows me to be home throughout the day, ensuring that your pet receives plenty of attention, walks, and playtime. Whether it’s daily care or longer stays, I’m able to give pets the love and care they deserve without any interruptions to my routine.

I care for pets in my home just like they were my own, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and loving environment. My home is in a quiet neighborhood, perfect for peaceful walks and playtime. I make sure pets feel at ease with plenty of cozy spaces to rest and relax. Safety is my top priority—I keep a close eye on them at all times and make sure they’re secure indoors and outdoors. I also take the time to understand each pet’s individual needs, whether it’s special feeding schedules, medications, or extra attention, so they feel right at home. Your pet’s happiness and well-being are always my focus, and I’m committed to providing them with a safe, trusting environment during their stay.
A typical day
We have a huge back yard, so potty breaks will be long and relaxing, with lots of room to run and play around. Quiet neighborhood provides plenty of safe space to walk around. Long driveway will keep them away from dangerous cars on the road. Secluded indoor and outdoor patios provide nice rooms for them to relax, eat or enjoy the weather. Plenty of tvs inside, with comfy couches and recliners, to relax with a show.
