Working as an Animal Care Specialist allows me to interact with dogs and cats almost everyday. Likewise, I have a mutt of my own, a dun-appaloosa mare, and ferrets. Indeed, there is always pet care in my day-to-day routine!

I will provide the utmost compassion, attention, and enrichment to all pets in my care, as if they were my own. Likewise, I will respect the home and environment of my client. Routine Care will look like, - preparing and providing meals - maintaining hydration - administering medication (as needed) - monitoring overall health and behavior - potty breaks, long walks, playtime - and of course, lots of cuddle time! Additional Care Upon Request, - basic training - grooming - nail-trimming - taking pets hiking/swimming/to the dog park If you have any other requests for your pets, I am all ears!

A typical day
A typical day with your pet(s) may consist of, - taking your dog(s) hiking, swimming, or to the dog park for socialization - local outings to pet-friendly stores, restaurants, or farmer's markets - long walks and playtimes throughout the day - "couch" cuddling, bed snuggles, and a movie night! *If you're pet(s) are friendly with other dogs and you are comfortable with my dog, Charlie, visiting your home, I will arrange a playtime for the enrichment and socialization your dog(s) desire! (We will schedule a dog meet and greet in advance to your reservation to ensure the dogs are compatible) Additional Services I offer: 1. Nail trimming(clippers or dremel)- $18 2. Bath(normally last 20 minutes)- $15 3. De-shed(at least 15 minutes)- $12 Normally, clients already have the product/equipment needed for the service they’re requesting. If you don’t, I am happy to bring my own!

Are you looking for a compassionate, experienced, and trustworthy animal care specialist to look after your furry(or not) family member? Well, I am just the person you have been looking for! Growing up around a diversity of animals that have depended on me as their caretaker has granted me significant insight into the multifaceted nature of animal care! I began my career as an Animal Care Specialist in 2020; throughout a typical day, I manage daycare (large groups of dogs out for play), teach and maintain positive animal behavior, groom dogs, and assist in clinical veterinary protocols, amongst additional routine responsibilities. My previous experience includes, 1. Interning as a large and small animal veterinary assistant over the summer of 2022 2. Job-shadowing with my small and exotic animal veterinarian in 2022 3. Working as a farmhand on a 500-acre animal sanctuary over the summers of 2019-2023 Feel free to message me with any questions you may have concerning a reservation!

Derri was fantastic with our boys! Both are older, large dogs that require a good bit of somewhat complex medication - Derri managed with great care! Regular updates were sent complete with photos and details on how the boys were doing. Derri was fantastic. Our pup had a bit of tummy trouble her first day or so and Derri was so great at keeping us updated (she got better 😄). This was a long trip and it gave us such peace of mind to have her with the pups!
