Pet care experience
No Dog Too Big Or Small !
I've been caring for animals my entire adult life and after changing careers I decided to pursue something that makes me enjoy my work. I spent several years volunteering for a local shelter dealing with situations that included large and small breed dogs. Recently (the last 4 years) I've opened my home mostly to short term fosters that need a temporary place before finding forever families. This process has given my ample experience in home settings where I'm now extremely comfortable interacting with animals unfamiliar with me or a new environment. I can provide Play Time, Walking, Park Trips, Long Distance Day Trips, Feeding, and even Poo Removal. I'm new to Rover but you won't find someone with more practical experience and passion than myself so please get in contact if you would like to meet !

It was first time boarding my dogs at all. We had met Derek when he watched at our dogs once at the house and really liked him. He has a great attitude, easy to talk to, knowledgeable about dogs, and my dogs were relaxed with him. It took them time to get comfortable at his place, but it didn’t take long. Both were very tired when we picked them up. I would recommend him whether it’s watching them during the day or boarding your dogs with him. We have 2 happy pups and hoping to do it again.
I am so grateful that I found Derek. He took amazing care of our furry family member. He has amazing knowledge about animals and just a deep caring for their well being. I was glad to have such peace of mind while traveling that my dog was in wonderful care.

Schedule
Currently I'm working part-time so my schedule is typically open 5 days a week but I'm sure arrangements can be made depending on the situation.

I have a large fenced yard and three friendly dogs of my own to keep visitors company. If you require in home care I will treat your property as if it was my own.

A typical day
The Fig Garden Loop Dog Park is just across the street from my home so we typically go on walks or off leash dog park trips at least 2x a day !
